Awful awful bar. Overpriced drinks, posing clientele, terrible music. I had the misfortune of going here twice in two weeks. They also have stupid rules for smokers (can't take drinks into smoking area) - Not that I smoke but all my friends were smoking so I went outside to stand with them.. we all had to leave our drinks unattended. That's a drink spiking incident waiting to happen.

One of the better curry houses
Went to Aladin on Saturday night - Have been there before and when we arrived it was full with people waiting. One of the few curry houses on Brick Lane that doesn't use the hawkers in the street to get you in.

Food was your standard fare, nothing spectacular but definitely decent for the price and of reasonable quality - the naans were very fresh and highly recommended.

BYO too - so cheap if you want to drink with your meal.

Overall, one of the safer bets in Brick Lane.

Had a meal there last night for the first time. Service was polite and very prompt, possibly even too prompt as I was a little shocked when our mains arrived so soon after we ordered them.
The food was ok, not the best tex-mex I've had but not the worst either. The price was fairly reasonable so no complaints there.
Would I go back? Probably not. I think my search for the perfect Tex-Mex in London isn't over just yet!

Possibly one of the best coffee places in London, although it can be a little pricey. Good for takeaway coffee and even better for lots of different beans to use at home.

Mmm Beigels
Ideally located on the way I go to catch the bus home. This bakery produces top notch bagels. Im not a big fan of the salt beef but the cream cheese is a winner. They also do a mean sausage roll if you are looking for something a little bit more greasey.

Extra points for the interesting clientele, no matter what time you visit.
