Ordered a guitar for a gift a few years ago and can not fault the care and help we had. THe staff were friendly and helpful and our choice of guitar was offered at a really unbeatable price too, which included spares and all the postage and packing costs. It arrived with in a week and was in top class condition, and in the colour we had wanted. It went down really well as a gift and is still going strong after being played again and again. Have not seen the store in person but would expect it has a varied stock.

Toy town
The Hamleys toy store on regent street is a great place to tempt the kids with all the stuff they can and cant have.
It is hands on in some places and you can still find a cheap keepsake for the kids once you have admired everything there is to see.
The giant furry toys were amazing and looked like baby zebras, lions and zebra.
The girls sections are massive and boys are not neglected here either.
Some of the more spectacular toys are quite expensive and I would not want to spend the amounts of money required to get them, but hey, this is no budget super store, its a classy store and wonderful to browse in and pick up the odd special treat.

Apple tastic
Having been to a couple of apple stores I must say that this one is the best, uber cool and chic, well it would be it is full of all things apple and not the granny smith variety either. Had to sort out an ipod for a gift and wanted the red one so did eventually have to go on line to get it but never mind, just loved the apple store and the staff were helpful. Am i a mac user, well, used to have a windows pc but am now firm convert to all things apple. The sleek white design of the desk and lap top computers is so stylish and usable that I will never go back to boring old windows. Looks like I will be making many happy future visits to the wonderful apple store then.

Had a meal here with the family befoe a much awaited visit to the theatre to see phantom of the opera, which by the way was great. They have a kids menu which is a fair price and an adults menu with larger meals for larger kids. One of us had a pizza which was ok, we also tried the chicken kiev which was huge and came with lots of nice crispy fries. The chocolate profiteroles were really good, but arent they always. Over all we thought the meal was fine, not spectacular like the show we saw but it filled us up and we would go again some time.

breath taking
Walk across the millenium bridge from the tate modern side and the main thing you see is st pauls cathedral, it knocks your socks off. Better still do this at night or dusk when the building is full of spot lights and its even more of a sight for your eyes. You do have to pay to get in, but it is wonderful on the inside. We climbed the massive amount of steps and managed to get first to the gallery and then still higher where you can look down and see the floor and layout in all its splendor. There is also a gift shop selling the usual tourist stuff. We enjoyed it and have been a couple of times now, we will surely re visit in the future.

London Aquarium
The london aquarium is very close to the london eye and is easy to combine with the eye as a nice family day out. If you have a tube or train pass you can get a free entry for 1 person when you buy 1 ticket, so you could take a family of 4 and only pay for the 2 adults. The smaller displays were ok but the large shark tank had the wow factor and we spent ages watching the sharks and other fish swim past us, it was wonderful. We wold go again in the future. When you come out you are right near westminster bridge and the river and you could wind down with a nice walk along the river side.

Eye eye
The london eye, a giant wheel that takes you on a thirty minute high rise tour of the sights of the beautiful london sky line, is great. You can book in advance and also pick up deals to include other attractions to make more of a day out. The london aquarium is very close so that would be a good place to combine you trip with. The pods do not stop to let you on but move slowly enough to let you get on with no problems. If there are lots of you, you may be lucky and get a whole pod to your self as we did, which was nice. The que is always quite long so do bear this in mind when planning visiting times, etc.

A must see
The tower of london is a good day out for families , with some thing for all to see. The white tower is full of interesting stuff, including some wonderful suits of armor and also has a hands on room for kids to have a go at archery and sword play, etc. The walkway which you can go along on the outside wall gives you a great view of the world beyond the tower. There were display going on when we were there including, sword fighting, archery and other cool stuff. The entrance fee is fair considering you also get to see the crowns of england and all the other jewels too. Would really like to re visit it soon as there was lots we missed.

Time to see it
Big ben is such a wonderful place to see, you need to park the car and get out to go see it in its full glory, or better still take the bus and drive past to take in its breath taking beauty. The clock tower is huge in real life and it is the clock bell that carries the name not the building. every thing is right here, the houses of parliament, the london eyer, west minster bridge, need I say more. If you have not seen it all for your self then you really should, it is a great day out and you will enjoy milling around with the crowd as we did.

Imposing
This place is situated right in the heart of westminster and is truly a wonderful sight to see. The building is so beautiful and very interesting from both inside and out side. The mosaics which are inside the building are very beautiful and well worth seeing. The fact that so many important events have been held here only adds to the attraction of visiting the cathedral. We looked around for ages and would certainly go and see it again some time. It is very easy to get to, london transport will help you out there. You should go and visit this unique part of englands heritage. Perhaps not suitable for children if they are easily bored, more of an adult day out or catch one of the grand organ recitals which are on a sunday.
