Great Indian
Bina is one of the best Indians in Reading, i travel across from the other side of reading to visit!

The Staff are friendly and the service is great, the restaurant is clean and has nice decor. It really has a nice atmosphere and is a great place for a romantic meal or even a family meal.

They serve your standard Indian Menu - masalas, kormas, bombay aloo, etc. The food itself is wonderful - you cant fault it, their masala is fantastic! I think the food is averagely priced, maybe slightly more than other indians but not by much so its definately worth it for such a nice meal.

I would definately recommend this Indian! Enjoy!

Sizzlers
The Tylers rest has become a Sizzlers restaurant. It is a pub one side and restaurant the other.

Sizzlers is a cheap grill restaurant serving steaks, burgers, chicken burgers, etc. All the food is very cheap and they have quite a good choice on the menu. I have had a good steak meal there before.

I recently visited for lunch and the service was very slow and they charged 50p just to add a tiny bit of cheese onto my garlic bread, i also ordered a portion of chips which was the smallest portion i have ever seen! you do normally get an ok size portion with your meal from past experience.

As sizzlers have just taken over the the place has been refurbed and is quite modern with lots of fancy light and pictures which is nice.

I recently visied Wagamamas for the first time recently and it was brilliant!

The restaurant is very lively and modern, they seat you on seats which seat up to 4 or 6 so you can be sat with other people if its busy.

The service is fast and food is very quick, you can see the chefs perparing your food so you know its fresh.

I had a noodle dish which was lovely. we also had 2 for 1 voucher which was handy! they often run these offers and considering the meals arent expensive around £7-£10 its a bargain! I also got a side of duck pasty type parcels which were gorgeous!

If you want a quick meal before heading down to the cinema this is ideal! enjoy!

Pizza Hut
I have eaten at this pizza hut on several occasions and most occasions have been ok and I have had a nice meal.

This restaurant is always short staffed and it takes forever to get the waitresses attention especially to get your bill.

The laat time i visited we found a pube like hair in our chicken goujon starters, it was absolutely disgusting, we called the waitress over and she just grabbed the plate of food and walked off without letting us even say anything! When she tried to give us the bill we had to argue and get the manager for them to take off the starter even though she had taken it away!!

this is pizza hut so dont expect the ritz!!!

Bella Italia
Bella Italia is your average italian restaurant. It serves pastas, pizzas, salads, etc.

This restaurant is down a quiet road in Reading and due to this isnt normally too busy.

The staff are friendly and the restauarant is small and has a cosy feel to it.

The only dissapointment about bella italia is it doesnt have a big variety of things on the menu, however there is something everyone will like. My favourite meal is the penne pasta with duck and spring onions in plum sauce, it can be sickly for some but I would recommend it!

The other good point about bella italia is that you can use tesco clubcard deal vouchers towards your food bill making it a cheap meal out!

This chinese is ok, not terrible but definately not up to the standards of other chinese restaurants in Reading.

We ate from the all you can eat menu which didn't have that big a choice they had your norm such as crispy duck, sweet & sour, etc. The food was ok but considering we paid around £15 each for the buffet i would have rather got my regular chinese takeaway which is a lot better!

The staff were quite slow and it was hard to get their attention. The actual restaurant definately needs a little reburb and a bit of modernisation.

I would say go around the corner to Furama, you'l definately have a better meal!

Old Orleans
Old Orleans is an American style restaurant with a fun atmosphere. It has a bar one side with the restaurant the other.

They serve american style food, burgers & chips, chicken burgers, steaks, salads, they also do fajitas which are lovely. The food is reasonably priced around £10-£15 per meal.

When your seated your given some popcorn to share on the table which is a fun touch. The tables have paper cloths and your given some crayons so you can draw whatever you want all over your table, great if you bring kids along!

Also if you have a Old orleans member card you ger 10% off your food which is handy.

The Cunning Man
The cunningman is a pub & restaurant which has a lovely setting alongside the river.

This is one of my favourite pubs to visit for a pub lunch during the summer. They have lots of benches outside with lovely scenery and it has a nice family atmosphere, it also very quiet as its not in a busy area.

The food is tradional british pub food but up to high standards. they seem to do a mix of basic food such as a burger to more fancy foods such as a brie sandwich for lunch.

They do a roast on a sunday with a choice of meats, they do steaks, pastas, salads, etc. There's definately something on the menu everyone would like.

The prices are fair and average. around £12 a meal, £6 for lunch (sandwich & chips).

The staff are friendly and are well presented in there uniforms.

pizza express
pizza express is a pizzeria which has a real italian feel to it. Its a great place for a romantic meal and also good to go to if your going to the hexagon nearby for a show.

they have lots of different pizzas to choose from, all reasonably priced around 8-10 pound - my favourite is parma ham, fresh egg and aspargus, great combination! they do some lovely dough balls with garlic butter dip as a starter.

The chef makes the pizza in view so you can see your food be freshly prepared which is a very nice touch.

the desserts aren't really anything special, I haven't yet tried one.

TGI fridays is a typical American restaurant with a lively atmosphere. This is a great place to go for a night out with work, birthday or just to have a few cocktails at the bar before heading into town. If you let them know its a birthdday they will get the whole restaurant and the staff to sing to you and they sometimes bring you out a free dessert with a candle!

The waiters and waitresses are friendly and all wear wacky hats.

The food is american style - burgers, chicken burgers, steaks, ribs. the meals are reasonably priced around £10. Sofi drinks are bottomless and they do lots of lovely cocktails - both alcoholic and non alcoholic, however they are a bit pricey if you have a few.

If you can eat a dessert after the huge meal, they have lots to choose from!
