Yo Sushi, Poland Street
Very stylish and welcoming lay-out with beautiful arch that has the conveyor belt sushi passing through it. Nice set-up, very clean and bright decor.

The prices are quite high in comparison to food quality,
which isn't poor, but is hardly fantastic.

Food items are priced according to the colour of the plastic container they're come round the conveyor belt in.
While miso soup and green tea are reasonably priced, and also fixed in price, so you (as far as I know) can have unlimited free refills.
However the water provided at the tables isn't free, and there is no provision of tap water.
Generally good service, mostly you serve yourself, but you can order food from the menu rather than the conveyor belt which I would say is far better quality.

A fun experience, but not excellence food on the conveyor belt.

I love this sushi place, I am currently suffering withdrawal symptoms from their delectable sushi.
This sushi bar provides fresh ready made sushi, and a selection of noodle soups made fresh on the premise.

You can choose to either sit inside in the very friendly, warm and stylish interior, or outside in the open-cafe table section at the front of the restaurant.

Equally you can collect your food and eat it as take-out.

The sushi is well priced, especially considering how good it is, there are fish, meat and vegetarian sushi available, but there isn't a wide selection of differing sushi types.

You can also get ice-cream desserts and a special fresh ginger drink to accompany your meal.

The restaurant is open from 11-6pm, perfect for lunches and early evening meals, and the closet tube stations are Goodge street and Warren Street.

A great bar with a funky atmosphere, free entry most nights, and a cool feel. If you do have to pay entry fees its usually accompanied by a free shot. A great place to start your night off with a bang, or even unwind in. Very lively atomosphere, with a wide dance floor. But has a mix of a chill-out spaces, with funky wide 70's style seating, and hip-hop, indie, pop and dance music djs. A wide selections of expertly made cocktails that really knock a punch, whilst being very reasonably priced certain cocktails are cheaper at different times depending on the night.

Wagamama's, Oxford
A great oriental restaurant with a blend of Thai, Japanese, Chinese and other Oriental food styles. A wide selection of main meals, side dishes, and a few desserts. The main meals are large and reasonably price. The food is tasty and comes quickly, they don't seem to follow serving starters, and mains at the same time for each table and so may serve the entire table at different times, or serve you your starter and main at the same time. To avoid this it might be a good idea to order each course separately.

I don't believe it states it on the menu, but green tea is free of charge.

The restaurant's seating is set up across large long tables with benches on either side, meaning you do not have you're own private table (unless you come at less busy times.) The atmosphere is great and the set-up of the restaurant is very light and airy.

Ben's Cookies
Excellent cookies, baked fresh at the store, great big cookies of all types (as many different chocolate variations as you can shake a stick at.) Ben's cookies is not an eat-in area, so you do have to find somewhere else to go eat them, but they are excellent cookies- far better than Millie's Cookies in my opinion. The only downside is the price, the cookies are priced by weight and a single cookie is quite expensive- yet if you have a cookie craving they're pretty darn worth it! They also serve drinks at equally high prices. Come for the cookies, get the the drinks somewhere else.

Old Orleans, Oxford
Old Orleans acts as a bar and family restaurant, the restaurant is downstairs and the bar upstairs. The restaurant offers tex-mex food with a TGI Fridays feel. The service is average, and the food is unexciting, and really doesn't live up to the real flavour and fun of tex-mex food.
Old Orleans does offer a free main meal to any one whose birthday it is, which is a good deal, but it might be better to go somewhere were you might enjoy the experience more.

The top and bottom halves of the restaurant/bar are quite different, the restaurant seems to aim itself at children and families- providing colouring sets and festive (and somewhat tacky) decorations. While the upstairs is centred on the older drinking crowds interested in cocktails and ordering large amounts of booze. In the evening there are bouncers on the door.

To get to the restaurant you have to pass through the bar.

Depending on what you want, Old Orleans is reasonable as a bar, although quite tacky without a broad selection of decent cocktails. However I'd avoid it as a restaurant, as its food is just not worth it.

A great friendly restaurant with a laid back atmosphere. Brightly coloured and welcoming lay-out, with a very family friendly feel, and quite a few families were dining there (lunch time). The food was excellent, prompt and very tasty whilst reasonably priced. A reasonable selection of vegetarian foods, and a well-priced lunch deal that gives three different options including a soft drink for around £6.95. A wide mix of food styles, which the giraffe brand centres itself on, considering itself to be a "world music" restaurant. So there was not only a wide selection and mixture of different cuisines (I for instance had a falafel burger)but chilled-out world music- to make your experience a little more cultural :).
