had a great time here on a friends birthday. the staff were friendly and taught us how to use the equipment well and fast, and when i had technical problems mid game they fixed it very quickly.

location is nice and central so you can combine a few activities in a day and its also easy to get to by bus.

i think winning may have helped my enjoyment! but it is definately a good fun thing to do with friends....better if there is a whole bunch of you then you can have the place to yourselves, but if there is a couple of you they will just mix you in with others.

but st nicks market (both inside the corn exchange and on the street on a friday and sat) s a geat place.

inside you will find a fab sweet shop, a great craft shop, beast, makers of bristolian t shirts, and many other stalls with all array of bits and bobs.

its a great present buying area, especially if looking for something a bit more unique that you won't find in the department stores.

the circus shop, sticky nean is a favourite of mine, and some of the jewellery in twilight fashions is fab!

its your standard multiplex - average seat comfort, lots of different films on show, overpriced popcorn and pick and mix.

Sometimes there can be quite a queue at the box office so arrive with time to spare before your film to make sure you get in - especially on a wednesday when everyone is making the most of orange wednesdays (which make the cinema a much fairer price in my opinion).

I think there is premier seating here though i have never used it.

Facilities are adequate.

Located near a bowling alley, a few shops and a few places to eat fast food, but nothing stunning here

better than mcdonalds in the city centre...and this BK does ice cream unlike the one in the galleries!

its been done up since the photograph and now has a very much american diner look. Never appeards to be too busy in there with plenty of seating down and upstairs so it avoids some of that horrible overcrowding you can getin some fast food places.

staff are always spedy and polite, and the place is always kept nice and clean :)

Food is standard and the same as every other burger king - standard menu and prices but all perfectly edible and tasty

this place will help you with all your travel needs in the city.
they have timetables for all the major bus routes, and can give you mre detailed information if you require it!
as the city centre contains manymany bus stops if you are unsure you can enquire here and they will point you in the right direction.
I've only found one member of staff in there to be less than friendly, and i use this place regularly to purchase advanced month bus tickets.
You can also use here to book national express routes from bristol and anything they can't do here travel wise, they will tell you where can help you

uni landmark
also known as wills memorial building, it is a major landmark in Bristol and one of the most fampous parts of bristol university.
A tall grand building at the top of park street, it houses many university offices and lecture theatres, along with a library and the great hall.
However, whilst the building is important to students, visitors are only allowed just inside, so there is not much to see unless you are a real fan of architecture.

However the city museum is next door, so worth popping your head in if you are in the area anyway!

completely free and on brandon hill, which is a lovely place in the middle of town and well worth a visit - a great place for a frisbee nad a picnic!
The walk to the tower is uphill, and then followed by a large winding staircase - so not suitable for those who are majorly unfit or otherwise, but the views from the top are absolutely spectacular.
you get to see 360 degrees of the park and bristol and beyond. Picking a nice day is best because of better visibility, and a day can always be finished off with a nice walk around the harbourside afterwards :)

Not a cheap day out it must be said (though if travelling by bus you can get combined tickets much cheaper)
however, the educational side of this is brilliant! there is plenty of hands on exhibits and things to do, from experiencing being inside a womb to firing an air balloon.
there are also many different exhibitions which stay for only a short time, such as the wallace and gromit displays and currently the love sport exhibition!
Kids will also love having a go at presenting and mixing their own news and weather shows and a visit to the planetarium is included in the ticket price and an absolute must!!

its the best bristol has. But dont expect a fantastic theatre. Sure it is getting some big named shows (we will rock you is visiting next september, and mamma mia enjoyed success) but its not the west end. luckily tickets aren't west end prices either.

Its recieved some bad press from an infestation of pigeons which ruined the show for some people, and also it is a little tatty in places these days, but they are working on all of these things, and don't let it put you off of a fantastic show :)

I've stood on the stage there myself and watched many shows there and the atmosphere is fantastic :D

The anson rooms are inside the student union, and whilst gigs that take place in there are not exclusively for the students, it is a mainly student following.
The room itself is rather tatty and in need of a makeover, rather much like the rest of the student union, and its technical features are nothing special, so don't expect anything amazing. On a plus side the bar isn't too expensive :)

How the place works really depends on the band you go to see and the audience there... if the audience are in the right mood and the band are good you will have an awesome night and much of the above won't come to your attention. If everything is rather mediocre, the petty things will get to you a bit!
