Posh Fish and Chips Takeaway with meaty twist
I haven't actually ever eaten "in" George's, have only ever had takeaway and can't complain. Food is always fresh - fish and squid battered in front of you, Souvlaki is amazing and the service is always very friendly. They have an amazing selection of fish and the kitchen is extremely clean - they are always taking good care of the prep area. Salads are good too. My boyfriend and I often get takeaway from here - it's pricier than your average fish and chips but I think for the quality you receive, it's most worth it. Squid is my favourite so often an order I place and I give it a thumbs up everytime. I recently read in my local paper that George who owns the bar won an award (Seafish Fryers Quality Award), I was pleased to read this as I think it's an award well deserved.

I must say I really don't know what Sami's gripe is. She has rated three pizza restaurants "ok". I'm starting to think Pizza Hut is more her thing!
I was very pleased with my visit to this restaurant for the first time last night. I looked online and after deciding on Pizza,my boyfriend and I travelled from Essex to visit either this or La Porchetta. After looking at both menu's we decided on Pappagone and it was a well made choice. The service was excellent - right from when we walked in and a lovely gentleman greeted us at the door and shook both our hands - very polite. All of the waiters were most polite and attentive. The food was amazing. We both had starters (tomato & mozzarella salad, Calamari) for mains, my boyfriend had lasagne (he said it was the best he'd ever had at a restaurant) and I had Pizza Quatro Stagioni. Very tasty and so big I had to take some home! The food was evidently prepared with care and considering it was a Monday night - the restaurant was packed! I can't imagine how busy it must be at the weekend! I love the layout and seeing the chefs prepare the food. I have no fault with the restaurant and will definately be coming back to visit as I saw someone eating crab and that is my favourite!

Cheap food to soak up alcohol.
This "restauant" offers good and cheap cuisine. If you want gourmet go to Busaba or Wagamama. This restaurant is purely convenient filling food for those moments when you want to soak up the alcohol. Everytime I go there I have Pad Thai with sea food and Calamari and it's good and tasty. Wouldn't recommend for a formal meal or for a special occassion. Other than that it's spot on...

Another after work haunt
Great comfy sofas, nice staff - this is another bar to stop off at on the way home, nice garden too.
Try the full english in the morning (they are open from 9) £2.60 and all good food! You can't go wrong...

Sweet, tasty little find...
This restaurant has recently undergone a refurb - or rather a lick of paint, it's a very basic restaurant however if you eat here once, you will realise you have come across quite a treat. The food is amazing and fresh, very reasonable and most days if you go there at around 1pm you will have a little wait on your hands! I've heard they have queues in the evenings (think Busaba in London on a Thursday).

Nice for lazy after work drinks
I often go to the Bricklayers for an after work drink - most likely because it's next door so I have to walk past it on the way through. It's nice for a quick drink - the owner knows my bosses very well so he often lets us dive upstairs to the restaurant for our drinks avoiding the crowds downstairs.
Ate there once - didn't really enjoy, not sure if I would eat there again.

Karaoke Night, Great chill out after shopping
The Warwick is a nice venue to chill out after work, or take the edge off after a gruelling shopping trip. The atmosphere is nice especially as it is located on the outskirts of Soho. Thursday night is Karaoke night and a lot of fun with plenty of encouragement from fellow drinkers!

Man Food, lots of meat, great eat!
I took my boyfriend here last May for his birthday. I chose it stricty because he's a lover of meat so I thought - All you can eat meat - can't go wrong! I was right, you will not get fed up of the waiters bringing endless amounts of food to your table to tantilise your tastebuds - there is a cart with a huge range of vegetables, pasta, salad and other delicacies - however go easy on the carbs or you won't be able to eat your meat! There is a seafood option for an extra £5 which I would avoid as it's not worth the money - stick to the meat!

Poor Service, too dark, food not memorable
Located off a side street in the city this restaurant did not have the atmosphere to be a memorable evening. It is poorly lit (couldn't see food properly which I think is important in a restaurant). The waitresses although friendly struggled to understand, starters were cold when they arrived. Main dishes were plentiful but more rice would have been nice. Decor is a bit old fashioned with too much on the tables (endless glasses, menus, cutlery, flowers etc). Would probably not go again.

Great food, great service, lovely surroundings
This restaurant moved from Church St (the Upper St of Hackney for it's selection of restaurants) to a dead end side of Stoke Newington High St - but who cares when you're in a listed building with a lovely fountain and FRESH carnation flowers outside? Visited this restaurant for the first time on Mothers Day. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful - there is one guy who wears glasses (thick black frames) he is adorable and so helpful! Food was also amazing - try red curry with duck and ask for it "spicy" YUM deffo! Went back less than 5 days later and had Mussaman curry (beef) - absolutely delicious. Will be coming back soon definately!
