Best takeaway pizza
This is one of the best pizza takeaway you can get. There are regular promotions like buy one get one free. My absolute favourite is the Texas BBQ chicken flavour which other establishment cannot match. The ingredients they use are of top notch quality rather than other takeaways which try to cut "corners" to maximise profit. The pizzas are on the slightly pricier side but with its regular promotions, it actually is quite competitively priced. Never been to the branch itself but ordered takeaway style and has always delivered within 45 minutes which is expected as they make it from scratch.

Exorbitant price
For those Malaysians who miss authentic Malaysian food, this place serves pretty good fare. Unlike some other places claiming to serve Malaysian food, this place seems to get it right, and its ingredient tastes like its been sourced properly from Malaysia.

The only gripe is the price. Two of us went and ordered 3 starters, 2 mains and rice, a soft drink and a margarita and the total bill came up to over eighty pounds. We expected probably about not more than thirty pounds per person. There are other equally good restaurants around for a cheaper price, although for Malaysian food, this is probably one of the best.

Lobster noodle centre
This is the original place famed for its lobster noodle. We came in a group of ten. The recommendation is to have half a lobster per person and so we ordered a huge plate of lobster noodle with five lobsters. The portions were huge and each person were given the appropriate special utensil to pick out the lobster flesh. And as an added bonus, the night we went, Rick Stein was there. And being an absolute seafood foodie, his presence in that restaurant must be a stamp of approval for seafood. And according to the waiter serving us, he actually comes quite regularly.

This place adds all it up and adds a service charge but don't tell you. You can only find this out if you add up all the itemised bills yourself. And on top of that, they then ask you "No tips????" when you just pay the total bill which already included service tax.

And this is "paying" for service which is absolutely non existent. The staff seems to think that they are doing you a favour by serving you and not vice versa. Their philosophy is to treat you as badly as possible so that you eat and rush out so that they can fit the next customer in.

They are supposed to be famous for roast duck but with this treatment, whatever the quality of food, it still taste pretty bland as psychologically you are already absolutely put off!!!!

Burger King
This is of course another of Burger King's countless chains of restaurants all over the country. The staff are all pretty young, probably part time over term time, or just finished GCSEs. All are courteous and greets you with a smile. Food and drinks are the usual Burger King fare. Taste pretty much the same as all the other branches that I have been to. Favourite of all is still the Chicken Royale which as far as I'm concerned beats all the other fast food establishment's chicken sandwich hands down. There is of course the onion ring to go with it; never fails to satisfy.

Good Indian
We went as a group of three people. Had some problem lokoing for parking but that's London for you. The decor was really nicely done up, with nice comfortable lighting rather than glaring bright lights. We ordered a combination of different curries; they arrive in little metal bowls and trays; reminiscent of the traditional Indian style dining that I experienced whilst on a trip to India a few years back. Food was of a good quality; none of the "ready" sauce slop that you get sometimes when you order takeaway Indians. We also ordered mango lassi which was taste obviously freshly made and not of the bottle variety.

Chicken galore!
This place never fails to deliver. It is part of a chain of restaurants found all over the country. This place is no different. The waitress showed us to the table quickly. The food arrived very quickly and in huge portions as well. You can specify how hot or mild you want the chicken and then if not satisfied, all the sauce options are available for you to add once it arrives on your table. They also have bottomless soft drinks as well as bottomless yoghurt! As we ordered extra hot, the unlimited soft drink came in really handy to drown the spiciness of the chicken.

Dimsum good, dinner bad
We have been twice to this place. Its unique feature is that it is built on a barge type thing and is floating on water. Had dim sum for lunch first and all the dishes were just absolutely delicious. The stir fried noodles that was ordered to accompany the dim sum were all in fairly large portions and therefore pretty good value for money.

We returned few days later, for dinner. What a difference! It was still equally busy but the dishes that arrives were of sub-standard quality. It was as if they couldn't be bothered to do it properly. Particularly disappointing was the soy braised pig trotters, which instead of being braised in soy, was obviously just plain boiled to the point of no further sweetness, and had soy sauce slapped on top. Never again!

Spanish food
We tried this place a few months ago. It was a weekday afternoon, therefore not too busy. Atmosphere was nice with soft music being played. Food came pretty quickly although we shied away from ordering the proper "big" paella as the waiter called it as the waiting time was a minimum of 45 minutes. The dishes that we ordered like I said, turned up quickly, hot and absolutely delicious. Even the plain bread was nice dipped in the oil of the chorizo dish. We only ordered soft drinks, but friends have mentioned that the Sangria is a knockout! We are planning to return in future.

Good food
We have been to this place many times. Particularly in the month of August when they had deals such as buy main course get dessert/starter/another main course free. Even without the deal, it is still pretty good value for money. They have a good variety from the soup based noodles to the unhealthier stir fried version. These two types are the sort we always had, and has always tasted top notch. They have rice and curry on the menu as well, although cannot comment on them as never tried them before. All in all, a place we will keep returning.
