The rich mix describes itself as a 'cultural foundation' being a three screen cinema, exhibition space and cafe in the east end close to shoreditch and brick lane.

The cafe is a great place to work from offering a bright funky space with free wifi, teas, coffee and lunch specials.

The cinema shows a range of mainstream films as well as the more arty variety such as a recent bollywood season and a current season of documentary dramas called 'crossing the line'

Well worth checking out if your in the mood for a film, art or just a nice place to log on to the web from.

Art and organic beer
The Fleapit on columbia road is a great place to chill out, meet friends and maybe see or experience a little art along the way.

Comfy retro chairs in the bar area and wonderfully friendly staff who are never too busy to have a chat to you. They serve organic teas and beers.

Its a local for me but well worth checking out even if you are not from the area. They advertise art events on their site http://www.thefleapit.com/fleapit.swf
