The Wardrobe
Having been to The Wardrobe a number of times it has become one of my favourite places to go to chill out with a few mates. The bar itself is very nice and they have a very wide variety of drinks to choose from. Although it is a bit on the expensive side it more than makes up for it with relaxed and chilled out atmosphere.

As well as this they also have live music in the basement from bands all over the world, although it costs extra to see the bands it has always been worth it for me anyway.

Halo
Halo nightclub is another very surreal place, once a church you feel a bit weird when you first get in there. However, the layout is good with upstairs bar and two rooms downstairs. There run a variety of nights through the week, so you can hear the music you like at some point in the week. The atmosphere is generally good and drinks are reasonably priced. The big downside is there is no proper dance floor in the main room so you often have to struggle through groups of people dancing around in random places which makes it very hard to find your way through to the second room and smoking area.

Mission
Having been pursuaded to go to mission by flat mate once I can say I had quite a good time. This is not the kind of place I would normally enjoy and I felt a bit pessimistic going. However, I can say I had a good night the music was ok and the drinks were cheap. The people are friendly and you don't feel like there is going to be trouble. As I have only ever been through the week I haven't been to any of there big nights like Glasshouse and Kissdafunk, but if given the oppurtunity would definatly give it a go.

I know alot of people who love this place, through the week they have a range of student nights and everyone I know seems to go every week. However, this is not one of my favourite places. I find it cheesy and pretentious and it is always way too busy.

The music is never good and the drink prices are not that good either. It is in a good location to meet up with people but meet them outside and go somewhere else, and if you have to go inside don't stay in there for any more than 15 minutes.

Revolution
If you like vodka this is definatly the place for you. Hundereds of flavoured vodka shots from chilli to butterscotch, vodka cocktails, vodka everything.

A good place to start your night during the week although it's always packed. The Millenium Square one is probably the best simply because it has a beer garden.

If your a student the drinks prices through the week are always good and the atmosphere is always good.

Generally it can be a bit cheesy as the other reviewer said but if your looking for a cheap starting point through the week i would reccomend it espeicially to students.

Surreal
This is one of the most surreal clubs in Leeds. When you walk in it is actually like walking onto an artificial beach with a dancefloor and bottle bars all around. If you want a fun night out it is always a good place to go, espeicially if your dressed as surfers or whatever.

The drinks are generally expensive and they tend to run out of everything that you want. The music is ok but nothing special.

All in all I would say this club is probably one of the most ok places in Leeds. Although I did have one brilliant night there once, but I was only 17 so obviously.

Thursday Is The Night
As a student in Leeds you are constantly on the look out for the best places to go. There has be a mix of good music, a good atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Thursday at The Wire is one of my favourite nights ever. Get there before 10 you get in for £2 and there is always some good drinks offers on. Although its quiet when you get there it quickly fills up and you can feel the atmosphere rising, right from the start the music is excellent, the dancefloor is packed throughout the night and it truly is a night by the end of it.

Awful!
Having been to The Space a far share of times I have come to hate it. During the week it's ok because it is full of students. On the weekend it is awful you constantly find yourself looking over your shoulder and just waiting for the trouble to kick off.

As well as this if you are a bit on the drunk side you will constantly become disorientated and confused on your way to the toilets because the corridors are lined with mirrors so you don't have a clue where you are.

The drinks are well over priced and the music in one room is terrible one ok thing though is the music in the second room when if you get over how bad everything else is you can have a ok time.

The Cockpit
Coming to Leeds for university was great just because of this place! They have a number of different nights through the week with regular guest DJ's such as Sunshine Underground and the Klaxons. The atmosphere is always red hot with three rooms of music normally open.

As well as this I have seen some legendary gigs here full of legendary performances. The place is so small its almost impossible not jump on stage with the band thats playing.

Through the week the drinks are always cheap and its full of awesome people the best rick/indie nights in Leeds are at the cockpit!

The Library
This is another great student hang out, the beers are cheaply priced and the food is quite good.

Its a massive pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere day and night a place to go if your looking for a quiet drink.

The staff and people in their are all friendly and easy to chat to but you cant stay there too long or you'll get bored.

But aswell as all this they also have live music upstairs, what i've seen are literally some of the smallest and best gigs I have been to. The bands are cramped on stage and the audience is always in great spirits and because its so small you can have a nice drink with the band afterwards.
