Don't believe the Hype!
I was excited about trying this place out after being invited for a double-birthday family meal. Checked out the website- very impressive, seem to have put a lot of thought into their marketing. If only they had lived up to their own hype.
The food was, for Thai, on the expensive side and wasn't particularly impressive. The curry I had was supposed to be award-winning, but seemed fairly run-of-the-mill.
At any one time there seemed to be 3 or 4 waiting staff swarming around our table to take our plates away before we had finished or distribute our wine, so that the bottles finished quickly. The staff lacked any charm or empathy and got a very simple drinks order wrong.
At the end of the meal a waiter barked at us 3 times to prompt us for tea and coffee and when we declined the bill landed on our table within seconds, without our request.
One of our party whose birthday we were celebrating too 10-15 minutes to complain and this led to one of the management staff bringing us a round of apple schnapps shooters, despite a few of us suggesting that it might be a better option to give the birthday girls a cake or ice-cream. The apologies we did get were mumbled and not exactly heart-felt.
I certainly won't be investing in the gift-vouchers advertised on the website.
