The True Heart- loved it!
Visited recently for the first time.

The menu is extensively- there is something to suit everybody. I had the scallop & mushroom pie, and my 2 friends has the cheesy cottage pie. All 3 were delicious! I asked if the chef could put a shortcrust pastry top which the server said was not a problem. We ordered side vegetables which were fresh, tasty and plentiful. One of our party is gluten free, and the chef came out and discussed with her needs- we was very impressed.

The desserts were gorgeous- a mixed of traditional english desserts and modern classics. I had jam roly poly pudding, the gluten free friend had gluten free pancakes with toffee sauce and ice cream, and my other friend had hot fudge chocolate cake.

The service was fantastic and friendly. I would definetly visit The True Heart again.

The Old Bank is a trendy place to have a drink or meal. The decor is modern yet cosy. They have regular live music nights too. The food is your standard bar food- salads, burgers, steaks etc. However you can tell the food is homemade- try the cod burger, its very nice! Service is swift and hassle free. Prices are reasonable too. I will definetly be going back.

Nice food, bit noisy
Stayed here for 2 nights recently. The food is nice the breakfast buffet is extensive and good. Staff are friendly and did their best to make my stay a pleasant one.

The rooms are good size, clean and well presented. Decor is a bit outdated but not really an issue. There are conference facilites- which i thought was very good- free refreshments and free access to wi-fi.

However what really lets the hotel down is the noise- there just doesn't seem to be any soundproofing at all and it can get noisy at night when you trying to sleep however i understand they are about to have a refurbishment so hopefully they will sort the noise problem out.

Nice food, good atmosphere
The Brewers Arms in Wanborough (5 minutes drive from Swindon) serves what i'd call homemade gastro pub food. There is a good choice of food and drinks to choose from steaks (the new york sauce is great!) and pies to oven roasted duck and grilled marlin. They also do a Tapas night on Sundays. The decor is nice, cosy and modern and staff are attentive and friendly. There is plenty of parking and a nice beer garden and childrens play area. Good price, good range of food
The restaurant is quite large, nicely decorated. It is buffet style, with a big range of food to choose from- sushi, to a teriyaki bar where the chef will make anything for you. There are also desserts including a chocolate fountain, ice cream, profiteroles etc. Drinks are reasonable priced, atmosphere is good though it does tend to get a bit loud. Overall its about £12 (i think its cheaper on weekdays)- great value

The harrods branch was the first Krispy Kreme in the UK. The doughnuts are quite expensive (£1.25 each) compared to your normal 10 for £1 ones. However the difference is enormous- so rich and moreish i easily ate 6 before i noticed lol! This branch is quite busy but there are always doughnuts available and a great choice to choose from.

Millies cookies are delicious- they are many flavours to choose from oatmeal & raisin, to toffee, to double chocolate. It worth visiting their website as they occasionally have vouchers. They also sell muffins and drinks. Well worth a visit

I have to disagree with the other reviewer- I found the prices in Carluccios to be quite reasonable when compared to other restaurants. The menu has choices for everyone but however doesn't have many dishes as your normal italian. Dish portions are normal and taste nice.

After your meal you can browse their small deli where you can buy Italian products such as sauces, pasta, oil, meats and chesse. They also sell bread and pastries.

Dominos pizza are yum- good range to choose from and made and delivered within the time stated. This branch frequently has 2 for 1 offers or other deals on in the local newspapers so its well worth ringing them beforehand to ask about deals.

La Casita are an independent mexican restaurant. Tuesday is Tapas night- great choice and reasonable prices. Their Paella is wondeful. For dessert i would recommend the cinnamon crispers, and their homemade lemondae is lovely. The restaurant could do with a refurbishment or some redecorating. Staff are friendly and food is served fairly quickly.
