Nice music venue
I played a gig here only a few weeks ago and from a band point of view the acoustics in here are really good. The clarity of the sound was briliant. Stage is a reasonable size. We;re a four piece and there was ample room for movement. As we were playing there we received two drinks vouchers worth £3 each. There haven't been many places that have done anything like this. As the drinks were free for us I can't really comment on the drinks prices as I didn't have to buy any. The venue itself is in a strange location just off a roundabout. It's set in the middle of two other pubs. DB's is like being on holiday in the fact that there's an outside bar and snack bar with plenty of chairs, tables and seating area. Inside, the decor is really pleasant and clean.THe bar staff were really friendly and there wasn't any trouble with the people there.

If you're a real food lover like myself then this is for you! The value this place offers in unbelievable. It's an all you can eat style restaurant witha 34m buffet table. There's a good range of hot and cold foods with all the food being cooked directly in front of you. There's unlimited soft drinks too so you can wash it all down. For desert there's a choice of hot desserts or ice cream. It's Mr Whippy style ice cream so it's a definate winner. You can go back to stuff your face as many times as you want which when you consider you're only paying around £8 per person makes this an absolute must! The price varies depending on which time you go and be prepared to wait a little as this place is always busy. It's not surprising really. I love this place!

A great little venue!
There is 3different parts to the barfly.The masque venue bit is a little hall,which has a different entrance to the normal barfly bit!
I think this is the best out of all three.
Its a tiny stage,which lots of stairs heading up to a bar.Great place to see the bands from all area's.
The other Bit is in the main barfly bit,its upstairs and the bar is 1side and the stage is the other side of the wall.I find the wall is really annyoing,as you cant just chill out by the bar. Its gets very hot and stuffy in this place,as its just a hall with four walls.I dont like this place when its packed,you cant even move.
The bar is very expenisive in all 3 of this seperate halls, but its part of the carling academy,so the prices are always dear!
The other room is by the main bar,its more for acoustic sets!theres comfy sofa ands its great to chill out.
This venue is a must to visit in liverpool to find out some great bands!

People should go here more
I remember finding this place randomly one evening, walking with my friend on a monday night. Its situated near the liverpool barfly and up the road from the krazyhouse.
We went in there because we heard some really loud punk music,so we decided to go find out where it was coming from.
Its on two floors and its free to get in. Downstairs is more glam with a fancy bar, we went upstairs and its a big room with a outside terrance. Theres alot of cool artwork on the wall of all alternative people.
There was plenty of tables to chill out on and a dancefloor.
Bottles were £1.50 and there was a massive shot menu all priced at £1. It was pretty packed for a monday night and you could request anything you wanted.
A great night out for a monday!

A lovely building
I dont know much about the past on the whole building side!
But i know its a lovely building and inside it has lots of different little shops!From tattoo's,pericings, gothic and just general alternative shops!
Its on 3 levels and its very easy to get lost in this builing.
Its situated near mcdonalds and central train stataion!
This is a great place for all kinds of different people, and its what liverpool needs!
This kind of thing used to be on a side street near habitat,but it got closed down after many of petitions to stop it,they still closed it down cause of fire hazards(i think).Im just glad they opened another little shopping mall for all tehe alternative poeple.

Decent atmosphere
This has been my regular for a good number of years now. It isn't the cheapest of pubs around with a pint costing around £2.80. Perhaps this is the average but I've been to cheaper places. This pub is a favourite with the students as it's situated across the road from the uni. This sin't a bad thing though as there's never any trouble in there. It's also a safe family choice. There's plenty of seating outside and this makes a very pleasant area in the summer. There are always plenty of people eating in there and I've looked at the menu. it's reasonably priced but don't expect anything posh. I've never eaten in there personally but judging by the amount that do it's no bad thing. The location is handy too. It's good if you're planning a night at the cinema as it's siutuated on the same complex. It's also good as a meeting place if you're planning a night out in town. One thing i would advise against is going on a quiz night if you're wanting a quiet drink. The speakers are very lud which can get quite annoying.

A ok ish bar!
This is a pretty busy bar before people go to gigs as its right opposite the academy on oxford road!
Its a small bar with not much seating,you can also sit outside in the summer,which is nice.
The price of the drinks are really expensive,so we only had one there!
This pub also sells food during the day and that is all expenisve aswell.
I wouldn't go back to this pub again as theres a far cheaper pub down the road!

A cheap night out
This a very popluar club in manchester for the students and young people!
I went on a saturday, so of course it was very busy. I think we qued for 5minutes which wasent bad! they are very strict on id'ing people.so make sure you have some on you.
Its very packed inside and theres always massive ques for the toilets! The ques for the bar was madness too, best way to do it is Buy a free drinks at a time.
Drinks are very cheap, they are around 80p for a vodka and coke, So by the end of the night alot of people are drunk. They play various msuic, but from what i remember it was mainly indie music.
A great and cheap night out!

Cheap and a good nights sleep
I stayed at this hotel for a one night stay after a night out. Its about a 5minute walk from town and 10minute walk from piccadilly station. A very good location.
The hotel is based on about 6 floor and has two lifts, it also has a resturant located on the bottom floor, prices were decent, very good for a hotel resturant.
The rooms were clean and basic, the bathroom wasent so great, needs a little update. It had lcd tv and tea and coffee.Its a good hotel for just a quick stay and to get your head down for a bit.

Good supermarket in the centre
This supermarket is located in the midle of chester, richt by the other supermarket iceland!
Its a great location for people who live in chester to get there weekly shopping or for vistors to pop in for lunch!
There is multistory car park above the supermarket,which charges you a small amount. You get it back though if you spend £5 instore!
This supermarket is a small one,whixh has everything you need.Even clothes and a little electrical section!
Its a farely busy shop as its right in the middle of the centre. Theres a cafe in there too.
The only problem which this place is driving into town as this is the only tescos around chester!They have just opened one near the greyhound park which offers free parking and its easier to get too.
