Mood is quite an expensive bar, but can be worth it when you get in. There are three huge floors, first plays cheese second r and b and third dance. The first and second floors are the ones usually open all the time! The first floor has a stage which is where the live PA's play. There are usually student night throughout the week which are quite cheap if you like your VK alcopops! Weekends are about £4 to get in, and drinks can be quite expensive. However it is open late, and there's always a good atmosphere. I prefer the first floor but the second floor is always busy.

Good place to start a night out, and right by the bus stops! They do great food of a day, good prices and a large selection. Drinks are cheap too, they have offers on cocktails which are really nice! There are three floors, and a balcony. Also leads out to a little square where there are nice restaurants and it's right next to the Marriot hotel!
Great place to go after work, good of a night but mainly for sitting and having a chat as there's not much room for dancing! Plenty of couches, tables and stools, and toilets on every floor. Only problem is that sometimes it's a bit confusing knowing where to order food as it depends on what floor you're on.

Can't go wrong with KFC! Cheap, fast and tasty it's the perfect fast food! If you want a meal for one or a bucket for a family it's the easiest way to get fed! Around £4 for a single meal with a side and £12 for a bucket, usually with a giant bottle of pepsi. You can also get desserts, and you can take away or sit in. The service is great, and always fast whether you order in or go through the drive through. Toilets are checked and cleaned regularly, and the kid's meals come with free toys to keep the kids quiet!

If you love cheesy music from the 70's, 80's, 90's and now this is the place for you! Coloured dancefloor, poles and disco balls make up the interior, with pictures of famous bands on the walls. The DJ is open to requests and plays some great tunes you'll probably have forgotten about( such as 5, or the vengaboys!)
Free through the week, £2 on a weekend ( but you get a card to get you in to Reflex or Flares for free!)
Drinks are cheap, especially before 11pm! The bar staff are always friendly and there's seats for when you've had enough of dancing!

Garlands
Have only been to Garlands for students night, and they are quite decent. Not as good as Medication or Mischief, but depends what type of music you’re into. Defo one for the more trendy here! The drinks are cheap during the week, but on a weekend when it’s about £6 to get in the prices go right up!
Great if you like dance music, there is an upstairs room with stages, a downstairs room with a few raised platforms to dance on and a hidden room where you can sit and relax. It’s huge and always packed, and has a good atmosphere. Meant to be a gay bar but I don’t think many people in there are gay! The bars are huge, so no huge queues, and there’s a cloakroom if you need one.

Situated in West Derby village and surrounded by lots of pubs so great for a mini pub crawl! Also next to a chippy, off license and bank so everyhing you need, and right next to local bus stops and a taxi rank! But if you're driving there's loads of places to park and it's a decent area so you don't need to worry about your car! Inside is spacious, with plenty of chairs and tables. The bars runs right round the middle so it's easy to get served. The prices are reasonable, and there's always a good atmosphere when a match is on! Toilets are clean, staff are friendly and I've never seen any trouble in there!

This is the ultimate in cinema experience. The FACT is a grat place to go, they have mainstream films on as well as lesser known specials, usually accompanied by a talk by someone involved in the film, which can be very educational!
The bar is great, nice relaxed atmosphere and lots of comfy places to sit. Have a great selection of drinks( yes you can take alcohol into the film with you!) and is reasonably priced, maybe a bit more than other bars and cinemas but it's worth it. The chairs in the cinema are so comfy, and the screens are a decent size and you can see no matter where you sit. Would really recommend, so much nicer than normal cinemas!

Everything you need!
Well I love this Asda! Massive car park and easy to get to, it contains all you need including groceries, George clothes, opticians, bakery and newsagents. Upstairs they have a great collection of George clothes( men's, women's and children's) and even has home furnishings. There’s also a café which is cheap and cheerful!
Downstairs has a great selection of books and magazines, DVD’d, CDs, electrical goods, garden furniture…before you have even started shopping! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and there is plenty of checkouts open so you never have to wait long (unless you go on a packed sat afternoon!) Student friendly, as it is in the middle of a student area, and close to other shops you’ll find everything here!

70's fun!
Flares is great if you're up for a lugh. They play great 70's tunes, and the DJ ( dressed in funky 70's flares and sometimes a giant afro) will play requests all night long! Has a groovy multicoloured dancefloor and lots of shiny disco balls!
The staff do routines, and there's a great stage with mirrors and even a pole! If you're not in a dancing mood there are couches and stools, and there's some arcade machines to keep you amused! there are two bars, and they have plenty of offers on during the week. At weekends its 2pound to get in, but again the prices are cheap and shots are even cheaper! Plus you can get jugs of cocktails, and lots of 70's merchandise!

I've only been here once to see the fratellis but it was so good! The place is small enough you can hear the music, but it's spacious so that you're not squeezed in like cattle! There is a balcony for those who want to stay out of the way too, and it's nicely air conditioned. The bar is a bit pricey and is limited in what they sell, and there was quite a queue to buy drinks. The venue itself is great though. also if you're going to buy merchandise, wait until the end and it's half price outside! The location is quite hard to find and can look a bit dodgy but it's fine, and the train station and a taxi rank is right next to it, and it's within walking distance of loads of bars!
