To fish or not to fish???
I found this place form here as i read that some TP memebers went there so i thought id go check it out myself.

It a nice little resturant close to charing cross station. We only had to wait a couple of minutes to get a table but it was a Saturday at 12.30 so the place was packed.

I scrolled down the menu and was suprised to see no fish on the menu. I was very dissapointed as they had loads of meat choices .... i mean atleast one fish burger would have been nice.

I decided to order the falaful burger instead. it can filled with salad, hummous, relish and sauses. it was amazing. i order a side order of chips and a bottle of water which all came to 12 pound something, which i think was very good as the burger was jam packed. it was really filling.

I didnt like the fact that its a tiny place but you still have to get up and order your food from the counter. and if you catch the queue at a bad time you could be waiting for a bit. but we didnt have to wait too long for out food which was good.

i liked the way they are concentrating on just getting the burgers right and not fussing around with other stuff like starters and deserts etc etc but if they had fish on the memu this was would be the best place ever.... so if your reading this Mr GBK ADD FISH TO THE MEMU!!!!!!!!

Check this place out but try and avoid hotspot times.

Why are the tables so low??
We went to the Souk Medina for lunch.
On entering the place it was very dark and felt we had wondered into a far of place and then it opens up to lots of tables.
There were two main seating areas both of which were full and the upstairs was booked out by a party... we were sat near the bar but it felt as if we were sitting in the walk way area wasnt very private.
The staff were nice but one of them was wearing this annoying skirt that had these little bells on them, made so much noise...
Also, the one thing that topped it off was the low tables... i dont understand why they were so low. i know they wanted to create a more relaxed atmosphere or something but it was difficult to eat...

I visited this place a couple of months back while i was straying at the Carlton Hotel. It was handy as it was only next door. The staff were friendy but a little slow. the atmosphere was nice and it was very quiet.
the food was really good, very tasty but very expensive. we paid £58 for two people... i suppose if you compare that to what we had it wasnt too bad but for Blackpool i thought it was a little expensive.

If your going to Blackpool definatly go there for dinner!

Chicken Biryani Galour
Was on a business trip to Blackpool, so i search on trusted places and found this little resturant.

Its very small but very nice. the waiter was very friendly and explained some of the stuff on the menu to me. I ordered the chicken biryani and i have to save its the best biryani (chicken and rice) i have eaten (besides mums of course). It was well cooked, the chicken was very tasty and the rice were perfect. it was as the whole thing had been made fresh.

If i was to ever wonder up to Blackpool again i would derinatly go back to this resturant.... hmmm making my mouth water just thinking about it now.

Good value for money too!

Tiny little treat
Was in Reading on Monday and decided to stop and have lunch at the London St Brasserie. Its a tiny little resturant but very clean and a sort of place that would have a really good vibe on a saturday night.
We sat outsite as it was a beautiful sunny day, under one of the heaters and it was so lovely looking out over the water. We ordered from the lunch time menu - the food is very well presented, looked too good to eat but once we tucked in it was fab. I had the cod fritters which were perfectly cooked and the cod was very tasty and moist. my sis had the goats cheese parcels - her plate did look better then mine but it didnt taste as nice as my fritters.
For the main meal i ordered the salmon which was so lovely and again beautifully presented and my sis had the stuffed augerine which she really enjoyed eating.
We then ordered desert (had to be done) i had the cheesecake with a rasberry sorbet - unfortunatly i have had the pleasure of having cheescake at the savoy and now nothing measures up - but this cheesecake was lovely and was a very nice portion too. My sis ordered the creme brulee which was amazing. the texture and the flavours - making my mouth water now.

Its a lovely little place but im sure you would have to book well in advance for a fri/sat night. they do have a bar area and a larger room for larger groups of people.

The only downside was the staff. they were pleasent to the fact that they were not rude but i didnt find them to be very friendly. Also, while we were there only 3 other tables were occupied yet it took them forever to bring out the main meal once we had finished our starters (and we had ordered the starters and main meal at the same time) and when i asked for a refil for my drink - she disappeared and only came back when she bought us the main meal and i had to remind her of my drink.

So we had the lunch time meal at £13.50 each, side of chips, soft drinks and desert all came to about £50 which was reasonable.

Overall, it was a wonderful little place, would definatly go there again.

When in Brighton....
Went down to Brighton last week and we ended up at Ask. From the outside it looks very small but once inside it has two rooms. ONe small room for people in groups in two and three and then they have a larger room which is more spacious. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. They also had a really nice seating area outside at the back of the large room. As it was a beautiful sunny day we sat outside. It was very relaxing.

The meal was lovely, i wanted to order the Salmon Ravioli but it came with a white wine sauce. The waiter was so lovely he hask the chef if it would be possible to replace the white wine sauce with something else. He used a cream based sauce instead which was so lovely. I was very suprised that they were willing to adapt the meal to suit my requirements, maybe all resturants do this and i have never had the courage to ask but with the friendly staff it was easy to ask.

I would love to try the Ask in Kew and see if their service is just as good.

Its a very nice pad locted near the foot of beachy head. Its quiet a treck from eastbourne town centre but thats what gives it its added bonus... your not mingling with tourists.
the have a large beer garden at the back with a huge bbq ... i have never been there when they have had the bbq though.
The food is good and the staff are always friendly.

Small but nice
This was my regular hang out back in my uni days. Its a nice small wine bar. It has a small area to sit outside when the weather is nice. The food is really nice. Has large leather sofas to chill on a pretty fairy lights make it quiet romantic. the music is always good and not to loud on a weekday night.

If ever in eastbourne definatly pay Townhouse a visit...but try to avoid it on a friday night as the place is so good it gets packed.

So much to say where to start!?

This was the best dinning experience ever. We borrowed my uncles merc so we could arrive in style, driving up to the burj was exciting in itsself. drove over the bridge past security and up to the hotel.

we had to take a fake sumberine down to lower groud and were taken into the seaford resturant. there was a huge floor to ceiling fish tank in the middle of the room and all the table were places around it. the service was fantatic, the food was lovely. if you dont like fish then dont bother going. we weren't allowed to take pictures but then were taken into the one of the family dinning rooms and took pictures in there. so if your going in a lareg group make sure you ask for one of the fmaily rooms.

after dinner we took the lift to the 27th floor... there is a cafe/bar up there if you wana get a drink and enjoy the views... you can see the world and palm islands...fantastic views!! we also took a walk back over the bridge so we could take close up pics of the burj.

we then went down a couple of flights to see if we could have a peak at one of the bedrooms but then were asked extrenmly politly by secuirty to go back down to the ground floor but before that we did have a look over the balcony and looked down 25 floors to the main reception area...that was so cool

going down we went past the buffett dinning room on the first floor, the food look fantastic and i think it would have been a better choice then the seafood option ...but then we wouldnt have got a chance to in the fake sumberine.

the food was unbelievably fantastic, the staff were brillent. its very pricy we paid never 80 per person and we didnt order alcohol but i think the experience its self is worth it.

this is a place i would definatly recomend you try once and go for the buffett lunch on the 1st floor if you are unsure if seafood is your thing. make sure you reserve a table and make sure you go the 27th floor. my aim next time is actually book a room but i think that is more in the distant future...lol!

Most of the Pizza Express places that i have been too have always has a nice atmosphere and the food is always spot on and this place is the same. The only difference is, the seating area. you can either sit by the side window - i say window but its a glass wall - and it over looks a little river with lots of greenery and trees. its very tranquil. or you can sit at the back outside, a little bit noisey but on a hot day/evening its perfect.

The staff are always friendly and very attentive. The food is always good and nicely presented.

Its a nice place to go for a romantic meal for two or if you are going with a big group of people.
