I'm a big fan of the subway chain I love the sandwich selection they offer. This store in the whiterose is very popular but slightly on the small side it can feel a bit crowed when placing your order. They offer meal deals which include a sandwich drink and crisp or cookie. I would go for the cookie everytime the m&m are yummy. You need to be prepared to answer alot of questions and there's lots of options too. Firstly you select your bread, then your sandwich size 6 inch or foot long depending on how greedy your feeling then you select your filling there's a huge choice of filling I like both the chicken and beef ones best. Then the option do you want extra cheese and it toasting. Next step is salads then last but no least sauce. Lots to think about but your going to get a sandwich your going to love because its made to your specifications only yourself to blame if you don't like it.

I'm giving this place 4 stars because its go a lot going for it. The place had a lively feel and offers excellent value for money. I feel it offers they best all you can eat buffet in Leeds with a huge selection of dishes you'll find yourself getting up and going back again and again to try everything. They have starters like salads soups prawn crackers. Then they do crispy duck pancakes which are fab and a massive selection of main dishes with fish, meat and veggie options and a selection of sweets too including icecreams. I don't think anywhere offer better value for money. Although two things let it down firstly they don't serve tap water and secondly my 18month old was charged full childs price even though all he did was pick at a few chips. I think they should perhaps a separate charge for younger kids.

Tiger Tiger was really popular when it first opened and was the place to be seen but now I don't think it lives up to all the hype. Its pretty pricey and I don't really see what you get for your money. The menu is ok but nothing special compared to other places in Leeds. It does still get busy and on saturday nights you end up fighting your way to bar which isn't easy when your 5 foot nothing. There's a area outside for smokers now but you still end up getting wet as the covers aren't as good as they should be. They do yummy cocktails but thats about all this place has going for it. Highly overrated I think.

This place is strictly over 18's only. It has a large selection of machines with different jackpots ranging from 10 pounds to 500 pounds. it open long hours and the staff are always really helpful and friendly. There is refreshment avaible which include sandwichs and cakes as well as hot and cold drinks. It seem pretty popular and you see regular faces in there. Can't say i've ever managed to win much but i'm not great on fruit machines my partner has won a few jackpots from here over the years but I guess it just depends many more times i'm sure he's lost his money. There's a toilet located downstairs as well. So if your feeling lucky might be worth trying for that big jackpot.

This cafe Nero is located in the heart of Leeds and is simple perfect for people watching. Its popular and is often busy so you need to be prepared to que as well a fight for a table on a fine day it is usually full outside and you might need to lurk until someone leaves. Good selection of coffees but you'll be paying top prices like you would expect with these kind of coffee shop chains. They also do a selection of yummy cakes and sandwiches which I also feel are over priced but nice for a treat now and again. Inside is also huge with 3 floors you'll be able to grab a seat. They also do takeaway if you need to rush back to the office or something. Worth the extra money just to sit and watch the world go by.

I'll never forgot how rude the waiter was when I decided to take my newborn baby here. I though Bella Italia were suppose to be family friendly but I did not find this was the case here. My mum had decide to take me out for a spot of lunch and I was the first time i'd been out with my newborn and when we walked in we were greeted by the a waiter who said table for eeer 3 and glared at poor baby who was quite a mouse and not causing any trouble. Had I not been so tired and hungry I would have walked out straight away but we stuck it out and it got worse. We waited well over an hour for food. Which looked like it had merely been popped out of a packet and into the microwave very poor quailty. They only decent thing they have is there desserts but with rude staff long waits and poor food i'd avoid this place if you can.

I'm a big fan of pizza hut and adore there yummy stuffed crust pizza's. I also think they do lovely BBQ chicken wings too. They often run really good special offers too with a choice of starters a pizza and drink included which are great value. However this particular pizza hut just never seems to get it right. I'd had complete messed up my orders when the pizza was total wrong from that I had ordered. I also waited over an hour for deliver once dispite two phone calls and only living 5 mins away. Yes I could have picked it myself in a fraction of the time but wasn't prepared to change out of my pj's at that point. So in conclusion pizza huts in general are good but avoid this store if you can.

Without doubt this had got to be my favorite takeaway in the whole of Leeds. I love this place I travel across the city now to get my chicken fix and its worth it. I tend to usually have there meal deal 1 which is half a chicken a huge nan a portion of chip and a soft drink for a mere 4.30. Great value for money you can't go wrong. I've introduced loads of people to this place and everyone seems to love it. There's a large sitting area inside and you can park roundabout on the street. Sadly no deliverly service but if your anywhere near its well worth popping in. It also halal too.

Gala Casino is a great place for a night out. The staff are very friendly and it creates are great atmoshpere. If you’ve never played the games before Gala offer demonstations to teach you the basics. You will need to produce ID to enter but the process is speedy. The dress code is smart casual jeans are allowed although I did perfer it when they weren't allowed so you had to make an effort it kinda of made it more special when everyone was dressed up. Inside downstairs has slot machines as well as card tables and American Roulette. American roulette tables start from a 25p minium bet. I like to play roulette and have had some good wins over the years but I think looking back over all the casino always wins. Gala often do special nights with extra prizes on offer with raffeles and prize draws as well as offers on drinks and food. There parking outside the casino in there carpark but also you can in the carpark across the road when its full. They have staff on watching the cars too.

Great fun night out well worth a visit and look out for the special offer through the post when your a member.

I decided after hearing so many recommendations it was time to take the family along for a day out after living in Leeds for nearly 8 years I was embrassed that i'd never been. I had certainly been missing out too this place is great.

Really easy to find its signed posted all around Leeds

Parking is free which is great but the car park is quite a walk from the attraction for very young children so you might want to make sure you take a push chair.

We had to que to get in but it wasn't more than 5 mins waiting.

First we entered the butterfly house which was warm and humid. It is full of exotic plants and tree and it didn’t take long to spot a butterfly they are everywhere flying around and no remotely bothered by the visitors and fly really close to you. Its wonderful walking round it feels your a million miles away from the cold and wet weather you usually find in Leeds it a great place to escape for a few hours on a grim day.

Next we came to some rather large fish tanks which had huge fish in them they were seriously impressive I never seen anything like them before both adults and children where fascinated by them they certainly drew in the crowds.

The Nocturnal Zone was a bit of a disappoint for me I spent whole time worrying I would lose my son in the dark with the crowds and rushed through so my eyes didn’t get chance to adjust properly so I couldn’t spot anything but there is meant to be lots to see.

The Meerkat weren't there at our visit they were having a holiday where ever they were I hope they were having a good time.

Also there a gift shop and a cafe.
But as your in Roundhay park there are lots of lovely places to picnic outside.
