This is another lovely little coffee!
So cool and relaxing! Prices are reasonably priced, for food and drinks.
Great wine list, small food/snacks menu and lots and lots of desserts to choose from!!!
The staff are great! I have always found them to be very friendly and helpful!
They do not have takeaway boxes for their desserts, which is a big shame, but staff have let me take it on a plate with the promise of returning it to them after work! (I worked across the road! and always returned it!)

Great place for hot and cold drinks, chilling or chatting!!!

The food here is basically sandwiches or baked potatoes!
It is good food, with a very good selection of fillings, including lots for veggies!
i have been concerned once or twice when i have ordered a chicken dish such as coranation chicken, that the chicken was actually Turkey!!!!!!!
If it is it really doesn't bother me, but i can't see why it would be, which is why it concerned me!

The staff in there are really friendly and helpful, they don't even mind when you are taking a long time to choos your filling!!!!

If this is the chinese takeaway that i am thinking of, then it produces great takeaways!
The little blue hut, is what we have all come to call this takeaway, as that is exactly what it is!

Don't be decieved by it's shabby appearence...the outside looks old, but the food quality is great!
I would always prefer to travel that little bit further to grab a takeaway from here than go to my local chinese!

The lady (owner) is absolutely lovely! i generally phone in my order, and it is always ready for me with a smile when i get there!!!

This is a local's pub, in a strange location...it is based on the roadside - leaving Durham, but always seems to have the 'regulars' in!
It is a lovely place to eat, either in the restaurant or in the pub area (i personally prefer the pub area)
The meals are cheap but tasty, and there is a specials board with new offers on!
They also have special offers on meals until certain time 5-7 last time i was in!

The pool room is small, but lovely, nice and relaxing playing pool in there, with pictures of famous heroes such as Elvis, James Dean and Clint Eastwood!

Staff aren't always as friendly as they could be, but all in all, it's a lovely place!

This is really not a very nice pub! It is based just down from the bus station on north road.
The PR staff, are not as friendly as they could be, but the bouncers are really sweet, and good to have a bit crack with!
Up the stairs to the one floored club, the aroma is of sweat and fstale beer! The drinks are reasonably priced, and you can get free shots from the PR staff.
The dance floor is really very small, and the music is not to my taste (a bit charverish).
This is only a place to go if you have already had quite a bit to drink!

The Varsity
This is known as a student pub, with great offers on food and drinks!
The offers are especially great if you have a V-card! 25% off drinks, and you receive a voucher booklet with vouchers worth up to £10 to spend on food and drinks in store! The V-card costs around £2, which can be bought from the bar, it's really worth buying it, as the discounts are prety good and you end up getting your money back!
If you register the card on-line, you will also be able to receive additional discounts in places such as, blockbusters, domino's, play.com and express holiday inn!

Varsity also has a free wireless facility, so it's another great place to do some home work!!!

The New Inn
Cool, nice place to go, espeailly in the summer (when the sun actually shines) to sit in the beer garden!
This is mainly used by students as it is located right opposite the main durham university.
The obvious student prices are great for getting people through the door!
Food quality isn't at it's best, but it's still cheap and cheerful!
The staff are friendly and willing to help, so that's always a plus!
With the comfy couches it's great to sit and read, or even do some work!

This is a place of taste... like marmite, you either love it or hate it!
i personally hate it! it's just not to my liking, it seems too posh to be where it is based in durham, although the drinks are pretty cheap, with special offers on doubles and trebles.
There are a million steps to walk up and down, but it is a good short cut to Chase nighclub on the riverside!

I am sure that there is a ot of peole that do like, most of my friends do like to go here first.

It has a funny foisty kind of smell to it, this could be due to the leaky roof with buckets catching the drips!

The Water House - Weatherspoons
I love Weatherspoons, anywhere and everywhere!
The only thing i don't like about them across the board is the wait....at busy times you tend to wait a long time! The Water house is no different, but i always feel like it is more spacious than others!
It's a great place to take a book into, have a drink and munch on some nacho's!
Or take a group of you for cheap grub, cheap drink, and a good laugh!

The night time is good to, as it is a big building, it's not too suished, and it's in a great location in durham, oposite night clubs and other pubs, good place to start the night, drinks are extremely cheap!

Bimbi's!
Everybody loves fish and chips!!!! Bimbi's get it right everytime, they just produce great chips - i don't know why it is different from other chip shops - it just is!!!!
Situated in the middle of durahm, great for day time shopping break, or night time drunken munchies!!!!

There is only one problem with these fabulous chips...the price is really not right!
They are very expensive, so nice to sit down and relax durng the day, you don't mind paying the extra, but for the night time drunken munchies, it may be a chioce between bimbi's and walking home, or cheaper chips and taxi home!!!
