I've been to this wonderful restaurant twice now and each time has been very special. It's set in an old barn in the little town of Battle.

You begin your visit with drinks and delicious canapes in a log fired reception area and then taken through to the dining area where the seats are so comfortable it makes the eating experience very inviting and warm. The food is a la carte but served in perfect portion sizes and cooked wonderfully.

You can finish with coffees back in the reception area next to large log fire if you so wish.

The staff are polite and the Manager is friendly and accommodating too.

Highly recommended for a romantic winters evening, or a small group with friends or family.
