Last time I visited this restaurant it took us two hours in total to eat a one course meal with poppadums. They were short of staff and hardly apologized for it. We were seated on a dirty table, which took ten minutes to be cleared. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and after one hour and 30 minutes we received our main meal, which was bog standard at best. We literally had to ask to be served, rather than the 'waiters' waiting upon us. I know it may have only been a one-off but from this experience we will never visit again.

Brilliant for students...but in that comes The Mill's flaw- it can get far too busy. On several occasions (Especially on Monday and Wednesday nights) I have waited at least half an hour at the bar. Cheaper than cheap drinks and a very studenty decor but it seems that the Mill is just too popular for an enjoyable night out. My tip- get there early on a promotional night. 2nd Tip, if you're a student, buy a "Yellow Card" from the bar. They're only £1 and offer some great drinks discounts.

Top quality pub. Great jukebox, brilliant band and comedy nights and friendly staff. The beer is a bit on the expensive side considering it's in a student town but other than that, a fantastic pub. Keep an eye out for the Outside the Box comedy nights, lots of well-known comedians play "secret" gigs there...Bill Bailey did one a couple of months ago.

Fun bingo pub quizzes on a Sunday, TV's for the footy, friendly bar staff and a nice decor. The only one downside is that it does live up to its name- the majority of the time there's nobody in there!
