I love this place - its so snazzy and one of Hull's undiscovered gems! The restaurant is quite gothic, I think, in its style, but this adds one 100% to the atmosphere, from the old bottles with candle wax dropping down the sides, to the wonky window-sills, the place is ace! The food is absolutely out of this world and although I am a raging carnivore, you never notice the fact that meat is not on the menu. The dessert menu is to die for, and last time I went, I was charged a £1 cork fee - what a bargain! The whole place is just my ideal night out so I would whole-heartedly recommend it. Get yourself there on a night out and eat some fantastice home made food!

My boyfriend and I went here and although the atmosphere was pure Mexican, the service was very, very slow - maybe we had come in on a bad night, I don't know, but I wouldn't recommend it. The food was nice but, considering the service, I thought was overpriced. We spent nearly £60 on food and drinks and had to wait over 30 mins for our main course! The waitress was apologetic but insincere with it, which for me ruined it completely. I understand that every now and then you will have to wait for food, and as long as it is done with a service and smile, it doesn't really bother me, but Chiquitos staff didn't seem that fussed, and that annoys me considering the prices that they charge. The toilets were well maintained though, and the restaurant was clean

This club is situated down Baker Street in Hull and is a fabulous place to go for some good old fashioned drinking and dancing. The club is a gay bar and it has the most welcoming vibe about it - everyone is free to come in and have fun and I like that about a place. Unlike some nightclubs, you never feel the threat of violence at Fuel and it has a really relaxed atmosphere with a bit of frantic thrown in for good measure. The bar service is really good and the whole place is well maintained. The toilets are clean and this is always a must for a nightclub! Overall, recommmended!

I love this place - it has great food including a massive 16oz burger with a 1lb of chips! This is priced at £6.95 and is excellent value for money as there is easily enough food for two to share. My bofriend and I got one and couldn't even finish it between the two of us! Apparently though there are people who buy this meal for one and actually finish it! The outside beer garden is well presented and well maintained, and there is a decent sized car park. The service is very friendly and efficient. The bar screens Sky sports so its a good place to have a beer, eat some tasty, well priced food, and watch the footy!

The Priory Inn is situated on a busy street in Hull. It is a very quiet pub so definitely not recommended if it is a lively night out that you are after. they do a meal deal there were you get two meals for the price of one until 5pm , we decided to give it a try .when we arrived the pub was quite empty and there was not much of a atmosphere , it seemed to be the place where men go after work still in their dirty overalls to have a few drinks and a chat .
this might not be a true opinion of the priory as we have not yet visited the pub late on a night.

The Old Grey Mare Hotel
This pub is excellent in terms of quality of food, service and atmosphere. Its a nice and friendly place directly opposite Hull University. It has a lovely beer garden which is well kept and pleasant to sit in during summer. The food is very good and there are a wide range of meal deals to choose from - these are all really good value. The service is quick and friendly. When we ordered we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive, which was hot and well prepared. I would recommend trying the massive chocolate sundae which is £4.95 but worth every penny if you are a chocolate lover like myself!

Planet Coffee
Planet Coffee is a very vibrant place situated in the equally busy Newland Ave area of Hull. The menu is extremely varied and the service is welcoming and very efficient. The are literally tons of different coffees to choose from so you really are spoilt for choice if you are a coffee lover. The actual cafe is very clean and well presented. The toilets are well maintained and very clean The prices are reasonable and reflect the area. The outside seating area is excellent if its a sunny day - not often in Hull!! If it is a sunny day its lovely to just sit there, sipping great coffee, soaking up the atmosphere and the rays, and watching the world go by. Planet Coffee has a very relaxed area and is great for meeting up with friends

My boyfriend and I went to The Haven Arms and found the place, the atmosphere, and the service to be spot on. The menu was very varied and included a good choice of dishes, vegetarians are also catered for. The service was very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. The choice of drinks was extremely varied and inlcuded real ales. The toilets were well maintained and very clean. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the food to a high quality. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate in recommending this venue for a good night out, with excellent food, and a friendly and pleasant atmosphere
