Very nice food and friendly service. Food is cooked to a good standard and there is a good choice available to suit a variety of tastes. Price wise it may not be the cheapest carvery available these days but it is by no means expensive. Located on the seafront it is a great place to enjoy more traditional food any day of the week and the window seats offer superb views of Cardigan Bay. The seating is comfortable and there is ample space for guests. Overall it is very nice place to eat before or after a walk by the sea.

Very good place to go and watch sport as there are several large televisions. A large place which can get quite lively but in my experience never over crowded. Well stocked bar offering reasonable prices and the staff are usually friendly. Some of the “home made” vodka’s can be quite an experience, some are better than others There are some quite good offers on throughout the week. It is a place where a lot of people begin their night before heading to other places at closing time, but it is also a place where it is possible to go with friends to relax and chat

Located away from the majority of bars Kane’s proved to be a surprise package. Split over three levels, it is a comfortable place to go at quieter times. However, It isn’t a very big place and with just one bar it can get very crowded particularly at the weekends. The bar is well stocked with a variety of drinks at very reasonable prices. Good offers on throughout the week mean it is a favourite of several student societies. It is a good place to head to during the quieter days to escape the crowds in other more well known bars around Aber.

Anise is an excellent restaurant in a good location. Very clean throughout, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable to sit and eat in. The service is excellent, all staff are extremely polite and friendly and the speed of service is very good. A very good menu with a range of dishes to suit all tastes from mild to very hot. The drinks list is extensive and overall the price is very reasonable. Recommended to anyone who enjoys Indian food. The car park can prove quite tight but it is within easy walking distance of the town centre and so parking isn’t really a huge problem.

The place offers a variety of music all on different levels. It is in a good location in the town centre but it can become quite crowded particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. It is competitively priced but is not the cheapest but with the choice of music on offer it can make for quite a good venue on a night out. On a couple of occasions one or two members of door staff have been somewhat unfriendly but on the whole staff are friendly and quite efficient. It goes a long way to compete with the large nightclub chains and it does a very good job on the whole. It does cater for a variety of people but it isn’t to everyone’s liking.

Excellent little pub. It is a nice place to go and enjoy lunch and to unwind after a week at work. It is away from the main road and so the location is quiet. The food is excellent and the bar staff friendly and welcoming. There is a well stocked bar which serves both hot and cold drinks and a variety of bar snacks. There is a lounge area and a bar area but both sides are available for food. It is a small pub and does not hold hundreds of people but it is an excellent place to go with a small group of friends.

The Inn on the pier is not a bad place to go. It offers views over Cardigan Bay and at night constitution hill looks very nice when lit up. The Inn can become quite busy particularly when people head there to receive a hand stamp for cheap entry into Pier Pressure. Pier pressure is one of very few nightclubs in Aberystwyth and in my experience it is not a very good one. Gets very hot and very overcrowded especially in the spring and summer months of university. The door staff are extremely rude and arrogant and seem totally unconcerned with anything. The bar staff are at times inefficient and waiting times at the bar can be as long as half an hour. The amusement arcade can be good fun and the Brasserie offers a good range of food which is cooked to a good standard, however it can Prove to be rather expensive.

An old building with lots of old artefacts inside. Traditional pub with a modern feel to it. Nice range of drinks and snacks and at reasonable prices. The Pizzas on sale are very good and also reasonably priced. A good place to go and watch sport with ample seating and two very good large TV’s with several smaller ones also. Quiz night on Sundays too. Several large sofas offer a place to sit away from the sports. I have never seen it overfull and have always found it a relaxing place to go to either for a drink or to play darts or pool.

Rummers has a good range of drinks but they can be a little on the expensive side on Friday and Saturday nights. During the week, however there are good offers to be had and it is a nice place to sit outside on hot days. Live entertainment from local artists aswell as those from further afield. It does get very crowded and with only one door supervisor there can be a potential for trouble later on into the evenings. It is a good place to go on weekdays but is a place to avoid at the weekends when it is busier and more expensive.

“Beechings” as it is known by students in Aberystwyth underwent extensive refurbishment and the result is a comfortable relaxing environment in which to enjoy a chat with friends. The food is excellent, it is not the cheapest in Aberystwyth but the menu is varied and service quick and efficient. The Bar is well stocked with a variety of local drinks aswell as more easily recognised brands. In terms of price it is very reasonable with some very good offers on several days throughout the week. It serves as both a relaxing place to enjoy lunch but also a little more lively in the evenings without becoming overcrowded.
