Extremely good value
In a very informal setting. The portions are generous and the prices are easy on the wallet. The staff aren't particularly friendly and it is *always* crowded - the tables are quite close together as well, so it is good to be considerate of your neighbors.

Still the food is definitely worth it.

Dependable, tasty
This is one of our trusty favourites that has a particular specialty in bento boxes. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is chilled (minus what can sometimes be very annoying music), and the food is dependably good. Nothing that will knock your socks off, but very good value for money in an area that can be either very pricy or quite disappointing. A definite keeper.

Very yum!
Very really pleased to be able to come along to the opening 'do last week and must say was pleasantly surprised by the food on offer. Not only was it extremely tasty (the pork in particular!), but the portions were ample and the prices posted extremely reasonable. Definitely added to my list of regular places for lunch!

A Must for American Expats
For all you American expats missing your pumpkin pie, Red Velvet cake and honest to goodness brownies - look no further! Not only do they carry such delights, but their wares are extremely tasty and very authentic. I found them while looking for something unique for an office party and was a bit skeptical that their Red Velvet would stack up against what I used to get back home. Fortunately, one bite put any fears to rest and I can't wait to try more. Double plus - their delivery service, while not cheap, is very reliable. Highly recommended.

Great Cafe
This is everything a good patisserie/cafe should be - fantastic desserts, lovely drinks (the hot chocolate is particularly good), kind shop assistants and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that is just right for a leisurely, sumptuous snack. A tip for curious foodies - if you sit at the back you can watch their bakers at work!

Excellent Value, Fab Location
Cafe in the Crypt is one of the pseudo-hidden gems of London and one of my all time favourite places to linger over a cup of tea or a late lunch/early dinner. The food is all freshly prepared and excellent value. It's self-service along a buffet, but after that it's tables tucked under stone arches and ambient music. They do regular jazz nights as well.

Better than a gym
So much more than a gym. They have a huge range of classes in all kind of disciplines (dance, yoga, fencing, pilates, martial arts) with truly excellent teachers and the monthly fee is very reasonable.

Excellent Indian
Really wonderful find, just down the street from Archway station. The mix of jazz and Indian food isn't the most obvious, but it works really well. The jazz are old standards and the decor is exactly what you would expect - but the food is great! All obviously freshly made and well tended. Good staff and a great menu, this is a real gem in an otherwise blah North London neighborhood.

Unique and Tasty
Georgian food isn't something you stumble across every day, but I developed a taste for it while living in Russia a few years ago, and was pleased to stumble across this place. The decor is more upscale than I was expecting, but was very good and obviously a local favourite. Prices are a bit higher than average for the area, but worth every penny. Wait staff are knowledgable and attentive and the music isn't too loud for conversation (a nice change!). Wine list is obviously hand picked and the food itself is wonderful! Starters, mains and wine for two came to just under £50. Great for either a romantic evening out or just something a little different. Will certainly be going back.
