One of the funkiest restaurants I've ever been to!

Relaxed, super friendly, and yummy, The Wally is a delight. All ingredients are fresh and locally sourced meaning the resulting food is some of the nicest you can taste in Bath.

Perfect for a quite date or for a larger group, and banter is free with the wonderful staff. Well worth a visit!

The last time I went I stayed all night and ended talking to the owner as he was cashing-up. He mentioned that he wanted to open a similar restaurant in Bristol (he now has) and Cardiff (please, hurry!). I can't wait.

If you're looking for a restaurant with a bit more 'class' than your typical chain restaurant, the Moon and Sixpence is the place for you.

Perfect for dates, special occasions, or just as a random treat for you and a friend, the restaurant is friendly, professional, and very yummy!

The courtyard looks lovely but I've only ever visited the restaurant in the Winter so am not sure if you can sit out there. If you can, I would highly recommend it as the whole Milsoms development has a relaxed atmosphere.

Looking for something a bit different than your typical pizza restaurant? Then Fire and Stone is for you.

The typical complaints are that it's expensive and not very 'Italian'. Well off course it's not Italian: it's in the middle of Covent Garden and is a chain! It's about as Italian as Pizza Express. As for the price: I'm not disagreeing on this point, but check the restaurant's website and grab one of there always-on deals: this makes it well worth the money.

So, what about the food? The pizza is well cooked, tasty and is quite extraordinary. Roast potato pieces on a pizza? No problem. More ingredients than you thought it was possible to fit on a piece of dough? No problem. Tasty? Always.

The restaurant itself is quite a sight too, with a large pizza oven coming up from the basement kitchen as the centrepiece, the decor is modern but not generic.

The Orchard Tea Gardens - a Cambridge staple and favourite of many a student, local and tourist… and for good reason.
The setting of The Orchard is idyllic; sitting just off the Cam in the small, rural village of Grantchester you can sit outside or in and have the most wonderful, relaxed snack, meal, or cup of tea in your life.
Accessible by car, the recommended route is to punt up from Cambridge or go on a long, leisurely summer stroll from the town.
A cup of tea and a scone is best had outside on a wonderful day, if you're lucky enough to find a seat. If you can go for weekday lunch, you're in for a treat.

Whenever I'm in London I always make sure I make a visit to The Kitchen. A funky, relaxed café, the food is great and the staff friendly.
It's great to hear the place is now bookable and as has been suggested before, get the window seat… perfectly romantic.
The Kitchen Breakfast is to die for and anything on the lunch/evening menu is worth your time and money. Yum-my!

One of my favourite venues in Cardiff. Billed as "Cardiff's Best Kept Secret", once inside you'll know why. Relaxed, slightly upmarket, and it won't break the bank, Cafe Floyd is a joy to behold.
However, get there early on a Friday or Saturday and grab a sofa or two as it fills up quick! Perfect for those looking for something different before heading off to a club.
