Great lunch menu
The lunch menu here is excellent - very inventive and well-cooked and fantastic value. The staff are extremely friendly and the decor is attractive. Highly recommended.

Beware the 2 for 1
This was not an expensive place to eat. However, the early evening two for one offer (conditions apply) was a bit of a fiddle. You had to go downstairs to find out about the conditions, by which time it was hard to get away. The deal was that you had to buy two very indifferent starters at £3.00+ each + nan and rice, to qualify for a free main course. You ended up paying not much less than the price of two main courses. We were constantly asked if we wanted poppadoms/ more drinks etc. and it felt like a hard sell rather than concern for our well-being. There are much better early evening deals around in Edinburgh with friendlier service.
