The first time i visited LIDL, i couldnt believe my eyes.... There are some grrrreat bargains at LIDL, be it fruits and vegetables, groceries, breads and bakes, juices, wines, frozen meats and veggies, spices, sauses, cosmetics or desserts...They even do seasonal stuff for christmas and halloween at very very reasonable prices. Its open mon - sat 8am to 11pm... so you can even shop late after dinner. It surely has the best bargains for everything, in Machester.

KRO Bar
It has a not so special decor, you have an option of sitting on the benches outside the place as well. The service is good no doubt, but the menu does not have much variety. The menu card has no prices listed on them you have a member of staff standing right there all the time telling you the prices of everything that you ask for, while you make up your mind. Puts you in a vry very awkward situation. Whats wrong in ordering, keeping the price in mind... its you whos gonna pay up after all!!!! Large portions of food though..

The Manchester Museum
Located on Oxford road, amidst the university buildings, stands The Manchester Museum. The museum is truly worth a visit. It has a great collection of rare artifacts from almost all civilizations. It has more than 4 to 5 ancient mummies on dispay along the other treasures from egypt and africa. It also has a section dedicated to issues related to racism. There is a section for stuffed birds and animals... and yes believe it or not!! it even has a section of LIVE animals. Then there is stff like palentology and rocks etc. You must not miss the museum shop which has an amazing range of stuff.. my favorite being the awesome collection of healing stones. And did i mention, that the entry is FREE....

Arndale Market
One of the best places to shop at if you are into cooking and fresh food. The "Strawberry Garden", one of the shops at the market has some of the most fresh fruits and veggies to offer and that too at very affordable prices. There is something for everybody in this market, from shoes , clothes, electronics, sweets, confectioneries, patissiere to fresh meats and vegetables and fruits. A place not to be missed, if you are looking for some great bargains.

Serves authentic oriental food and has a great decor to go with. The aura is relaxed yet formal. There are currently a number of offers on memberships deals. Service is fast and the staff is very polite and friendly. A great place to visit if you are into oriental food and great ambiences.
