Probably the best chippy in Coleraine. It is located near Tesco and round the corner from McNultys bar. It serves the usual that you would expect from a chippy anything from your plain old chip to the battered sausage supper. Their menu may be simple but thankfully they do it well. Their price are similar to all other chippies in the area, but their food is definitely much tastier. The only negatives is their burger while nice are not very big , not even the quarter pounder. However don’t let this put you off if you’re looking for a nice tasty chippy in Coleraine

Long Wait, Poor Food
We ordered from here the week it open after a lot of hype around the place, it sadly failed to deliver. We telephoned the order in and was told it would be an hour due to the opening week. This was acceptable but yet when we arrived an hour after the order it was still not ready. We took our food home only to find that some of the order was missing. The food itself was not Chef quality, the burger was very dry and quite hard and the rest of the order was average. Overall I would not recommend it unless it has made some good improvements.

Only ended up here after being told of an hour plus wait at the nearby WineBar but I am definitely glad we decided to go here. The restaurant is hard to find as you have to walk in a door and upstairs before getting to the restaurant yet it is a wee treasure. I had the salmon served with seaweed and dill potatoes. It was really tasty and different from what I would normally take at other restaurants. The atmosphere was good and the night I was there it was mostly couples but it is family friendly with an additional kids menu when required. Overall I would recommend this restaurant

Note: this is a review of when I went on its opening weekend. A restaurant that promises much and just about fails to deliver.
First of all whe you walk in you cant help but notice the lovely views as it overlooks the local coastline. The menu itself was fairly limited and I personally chose the salmon. When it arrived I was surprised to find the portion so small. Being used to WineBar meals, I was expecting a good portion. If you are going to be served small portions you expect it to be something special and unfortunately it wasn’t. In fact when to a McDonalds afterward to fill myself. Overall a bit overpriced for what you get.

Not the greatest takeaway by a long way. The staff are nice and thats why they got two stars but unfortunately the service and food are very poor. I ordered a pizza pepperoni and chicken on the phone and was told it would be 20mins. I arrived 20mins later to be told it hadn't even been put on yet. I wish I had just asked for my money back there and then because when I got the pizza itself...well at least I think it was a pizza...it was soggy and frankly really poor. It was obviously leftover chicken and the pepperoni was tasteless

A reasonable Chinese takeaway situated close to the town centre and railway station. It is reasonably priced and the wait time is usually about 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes max. The food itself isn’t anything to write home about but it is tasty enough and fills you up. The staff are friendly enough. There is no where to eat inside the establishment and unfortunately they do not do delivery. They next closest Chinese is about 2miles away and is probably better tasting and similarly priced (Jade House, Knocklynn Road) but if you are in the area and are feeling like some simple Chinese food this is the place to go

Istanbul is not what I would call a restaurant. Its a simple kebab shop, but they do it well. Its a popular late night feasting ground for those coming from Perth Road pubs and clubs as well as Dundee Uni so expect a few tipsy punters if you go late at night. The staff are popular and always chatty. The food is great I especially enjoy the calzones (folded pizza) and the good old kebab and chips after a good night out always goes down well. You can’t fault it for what it is... a cheap and easy stomach filler. Just don’t go in expecting a gourmet takeaway.

This is my favourite coffee place on the north coast. It is situated on the beautiful portstewart promenade and offers coffee as well as snacks such as sandwiches, paninis, soup etc. There is also an ice cream counter so you can grab a quick ice cream before strolling the promenade. O’Briens has long opening hours, I once got a coffee at 11oclock which isn’t normal for this area. It is really nice coffee and the staff are also really friendly. If you are in the area and looking just for a nice relaxing coffee by the promenade I would highly recommend this

This is a great restaurant complex with a bar attached and Havanas nightclub upstairs. The restaurant itself sells great food locally sourced and absolutely delicious. The staff are all friendly and the service is reasonably quick as well It is also reasonably priced as well. The bar ‘Bar 7’ has a great atmosphere, its were I watch last seasons Champions League Final. Havanas nightclub is small but provides a really good night. Drinks are no more expensive than anywhere else. The most popular night is Friday, whereas Saturday night is when most of the younger crowd head to Kellys in neighbouring Portrush.

Great Food Reasonably Priced
Jimmy Chungs is a great all you can eat buffet located in the centre of Dundee. Its reasonably priced at about £8.95 for an evening and the choice is reasonable. The food is well cooked and there is always plenty no matter what time you go in at. Also students get an extra 10% off with a metric card. The staff are always friendly and the service is quick. The building is spacious and is well furnished and is a pleasure to eat in. I see myself eating here regularly throughout the rest of my uni days and probably beyond too!
