Great Food
Went to Bam Bou for valentines day and really wasn't disappointed. I admit that I'm not a food connoisseur but the food really was amazingly good. Especially for the price.

The Peppered beef fillet with kow choi & shaoshing was quite possibly the best beef I've ever tasted. An all-round brilliant restaurant with a great ambience.

I, for one, will definitely be going back!

Good Burger
Well, I do feel a little bit false adding a review of this place because I've never been there... BUT I was meant to go there but never made it.

I've been told that they do the best burgers in New York though so it's obviously worth the trip. As they do the best burgers in New York you will probably have to book yourself a table, turning up probably isn't an option unless you're prepared to wait.

Maybe I'll make it down there sometime soon...

Joe the Art of Coffee - they're not kidding!
OK, if you hadn't guessed by now I'm a bit of a caffeine freak. I was recommended Joe's by someone that I'm working with, apparently it's "the best coffee in New York". Now, I'm not one to take someone at their word, I had to check this place out...

Joe's is one of, if not, the best coffee I've ever had in my life. I would be giving this place 6 stars if I could. Not only does the coffee taste great it looks great too, they make a pattern on top of the coffee!

There are 3 Joe's in New York, if you happen to be near one, go on, you won't be disappointed.

Rice Pudding!
OK, so I'm not a massive rice pudding fan BUT I've never seen a restaurant dedicated to the stuff. They have LOADS of different recipes ranging from Almond, Coconut, Chocolate... the list goes on.

Seeing what appears to be piles of cat sick really doesn't fill you with enthusiasm to eat the stuff but judging by the number of happy customers in there it must taste pretty good.

For the experience alone you should check this place out!

America's First Pizzeria (Apparently)
Having just landed in New York we ended up going to Lombardi's, apparently the oldest pizzeria in America.

The pizzas here are HUGE, mind you, I guess that most things in America are pretty big so it should come as no surprise really. Saying that the pizza was great and pretty good value for money. Just remember, it's cash only here so make sure you've got enough money.

I love this place, especially the Pizza - they're MASSIVE! If you can, get a table at the back of the restaurant, in the summer the roof is opened up. It's great!

Marrakech

What a treat
It was our first night in Marrakech and to be honest with you we'd been knocked sideways by what the country/city was like. As it was a last-minute-ish holiday we had no real pre-conceptions of what the place was going to be like.

We were staying at Riad Karmela (highly recommended if you're in Marrakech by the way) and they suggested we eat at Le Fondouk for our first evening in Morocco.

If you actually find the place, there's lots of people trying to point you in the direction en-route you will be greeted by the doorman holding lanterns and wearing traditional Moroccan attire, topped off with a Fez. Inside it's another world, built round what must have been an old Riad you enter on the bottom floor and into what effectively is a courtyard. Look up and there's the most amazing candle chandelier (see photo) and then the sky.

We had various tagines and kebabs, all were beautiful. I would recommend the chocolate dessert, it's the only thing that I've ever eaten that rivals the River Cafes 'Chocolate Nemesis' (not very Moroccan I know).

If you find yourself in Marrakech and want a bit of tlc, comfort and quiet from the manic streets outside this is where you should head.

No Wi-Fi :(
The best thing about this place is the view and (was) the free wi-fi you could use whilst quaffing champagne (if you're that way inclined).

Without the wi-fi there's no quite the allure there was to go to this bar any more.

A Little Nuget Of Joy In W14
I've been living in West Kensington for a long time and have noticed this little Deli for some time, I've just never got round to venturing in.

It was only the other Sunday morning I popped in to try it out. All I can say is I've missed out for however long it has been there... The service was brilliant, very chatty, smiley and welcoming. To top it off the food was great, the yummiest Turkey, Cheese and Caremalised Red Onion Panini I've had...

Places like this in W14 are few and far between, find yourself walking to a football game or to the park pop in, it will not only make you smile but make your day that much better!

Great Food
I love this place, the food is brilliant. It can get quite crowded so be suprised if you can't find anywhere to park yourself during lunch or in the evening.

To my knowledge there's no other organic, superfood restaurants like this in the middle of town. If you find yourself around Oxford / Carnaby Street and are a bit hungry you should pop in to Leon.
