Little brother to meadowhall
Crystal Peaks is located on the south side of sheffield and has been around much longer than the more popular meadowhall.Crystal Peaks recently had a whole new refit and is loking all modern and new.

Shops are in full force here and whatever you need,you will be able to buy.With many clothes shops,travel agents,supermarkets and the old style indoor market.

Although crsytal peaks is much small than meadowhall i do prefer here due to the fact that it can be quiet evan on saturdays.Crystal Peaks is within walking distance of busses and super tram aswell as a huge carpark.Parking isnt a problem if you park outside of sainsburys supermarket.

Security is good and i feel that it is managed better than meadowhall, i havnt seen many groups of teenagers hanging around and this is a plus point for me.

Good food,good price
Jumbos is and all you can eat chinese resturant and is located opposite the crucible theater.I've eaten here many times before a night out with friends and never been dissapionted.The selection of food is very good and food is hot,well cooked and the food display area is clean.

Staff are quite friendly and are happy to bring drinks rather than getting up to the bar,they also have a 90 min eating time but this rules isnt set in stone and i have gone way over this limit before.

Seating is a little cramped but the resturant on a whole isnt huge,dont let this put you off,the place does not get to full capacity and they also have seating upstairs.The turnover of customers is excellent and dinnertime specials are very good value.

They also are happy to accept booking and partys,a friend of mine had a party there and they dont mind pulling seats together and brining out a cake for the birthday boy or girl.

This resturant is much better than Number 1 buffet further down the road.

Excellent for live music
The Leadmill is very well known in and around sheffield as the place to watch live music.It has been open for many years and attracts people from all music groups.Aswell as live music the leadmill also has club nights and nights dedicated to kids ( no beer or shots tonight ).

Recently the leadmill has hosted bands such as the Arctic Monkeys and down the years badns such as The Wildhearts,INME,Wednesday 13 and many tribut bands.

The venue itself is quite small but this is a very good advantage in my opinion.You can get very close to the stage and its great when sold out as the atmosphere is electric.Beer prices are good and service fast.

I dont like their queing system to get into the venue though,the security leaves alot to be desired and girls get in first.Apart from this the leadmill is a good place to watch bands and also go for a club night out to meet new friends.

Grab a bargin right here
Home Bargins located down the bottom of the Moor in sheffield and is in a prime location for people looking to save a quid or two or three or four.Home Bargings sells everything you need from home cleaning to personal hygene,a packet of crisps to microwave meals.

As the name suggests, you DO save money and can get great bargins.The staff are not the most friendly you will ever come across but dont let this put you off.They work hard stacking the shelfs constantly,this is because of the amount of people who come here during their lunch break.

The isles are not very wide so it can get clutterd at dinner time and the ques for checkouts can get really long.You must shop here evan if its just to check the place out,dont spend £1.00 for a bottle of coke,get down to home bargins and get two bottles of coke for £1.00.

Bargins are to be had at Home Bargins.

Big and expensive
Cineworld which it is now called is a multi screen cinema showing the newest blockbuster films and hand picked oldies.

The cinema has many different size screens and can hold upto 250 people in their biggest screen.They also have two VIP cinemas which hold 50 guests and have chairs with leather seats, a counter for drinks and more leg room.

Prices in the cinema can be better but they do offer a membership scheme where you pay £11.99 per month and you can see as many films as you like.

As for sweets,popcorn and drinks, dont bother,bring you're own,the prices are crazy and are close to daylight robbery.The quality of food isnt great either.The layout of the cinema is good and they also have a bar on the upper floor for adults.

Good but old
The Arena is many years old but still packs a punch.Located just off the M1 it is easy to locate and parking spaces are easy to come by.The arena offers many different entertainment acts such as live music,Meat Loaf,Iron Maiden and Muse have all played here.Ice Hockey, Disney on Ice aswell as comedy acts such as The Mighty Boosh and Lee Evans.

Prices in the arena are standard for these type of venues,you wont get much change from a tenner for a coke and hotdog.

Seating is excellent here and evan right at the back you still get a good view,seats are old and worn but this isnt a problem.The arena itself needs an update and needs a good clean outside and inside.

If you dont fancy eating in the arena then pop over to the KFC or Burger King across the road.

Old Orleans is located in the best possible place,right next to the citys tram lines and bus stops.There is plenty of car parking spaces too.Old Orleans is next to the cineworld cinema complex so is a good place for a night out with friends.

The decoration of the resturant is the deep south of NEW Orleans,you enter the resturant and the server takes you to the seat,they give you a bowl of popcorn to enjoy while you're drinks are been sorted.

Food is very good here and there is a wide choice on the menu,hot wings,steak,mexican and pasta are some of the options available.Drinks are a little poor in my opinion, no free refills and the glasses are smaller than other resturants.

Music in here is again deep south voodoo, the lighting is low and it is really relaxing after a hard days work.

Pirces are good and you are not expected to leave a tip

The oak tree inn located in wath near rotherham is a big old victorian house with three rooms to choose from.One side is the tap room which has a pool table, dart board and fruit machines in.The social area is the best option,this is a well decorated room which is nice and clean.

There are three bars ( all connected ) which offer a vast array of beer,larger and wines.Aswell as soft drinks for the kids.The oak tree inn has a good solid reputaion with a solid loyal number of people who drink there.

They have a saturday and sunday leauge football team which means both afternoons on a weekend can get very busy.The owners also put on food for everyone to enjoy and a pub quiz is held on sundays with a chance to win a gallon of whatever you choose.

A kids play area is behind the pub,well looked after and secure.The only downside to this pub is the location,the area isnt very welcoming and can be abit scary.

Good food,abit slow
I've visited the hard rock cafe five times in the last three years.Everytime i have enjoyed my meal,the only problem i have encounted is slow service, no matter how busy or quiet it is you have to wait atleast five mins to order a drink.I understand that the servers may have other things to do but please, its you're job.

As you walk into the HRC you will hear rock music playing on their PA system and you will see the walls filled with rock stars guitars,drums,pictures and autographs to name a few.Try to get seated right at the back in a booth, that was no-one is sitting right next to you and you feel more relaxed.

Food wise the place is good to very good,there is enough choice to suite anyone and the drinks are free refills !

The cheese mash is to die for,try it along with a steak.I have not tried desert so i cannot comment but they look excellent.Once you have paid up and decide to leave, check out the gift shop and pick up some hard rock cafe goods.

Ben's EXCELLENT Cookies
Well,what can i say that's not already been said about Ben's Cookies ? In an excellent location,they sell the best cookies i've ever tasted.They offer many different toppings and flavours,choc chip, rum and raisen and marshmellow to name three.

It is very popular with students who want a quick snack when on the go.The shop itself is clean and well run,the staff are friendly and welcoming,it really feels like a family run business.

I've only been here once when visiting oxford and if i visited again, i would go back to Ben's Cookies no doubt.The prices are a little expensive BUT you get really good tasting cookies,well made and excellent customer service.

Drinks are available here but again like the cookies,they do charge a little much for them,but who cares ? Im happy to pay a little more to eat excellent cookies and wash it down with an ice cold coke.

Love it !
