Authentic Thai
The pub isn't so great- naff choice of booze and always seems a little depressing (i live basically next door and don't go in there) BUT the Thai food upstairs is amazing.

The food is a favourite of mine, living so close and about £6 for a take away meal, a good take away meal at that. If you are having a take away, rather then eating in pay by cash and you get 10% off.

Iydea say "Iydea is a great value no frills vegetarian cafeteria serving fresh healthy world food to take away or eat in.", and they'd be right, but it's damned good!

The staff are very friendly, and will remember you if you are a regular there. They have wifi, but it is turned off for the lunch time rush. The food is great value, and as organic and locally sources as possible I think.

Oh, and have one of their lemonades, mmmm.

The communist themed artwork, and friendly staff always make it a nice place to grab some fast food- don't expect more then fast food, but about as good as fast food can get.

Tea & Cakes
Bills is great for any meal, any day. It's a really nice place, and I believe mostly organic, etc. But what you *really* need to do, is tea/coffee & cakes at about 3-4pm. It's usually not too busy, and their cakes are a little special :D

Terre a Terre
I've only been to Terre a Terre once, and was truly amazed. I'm a vegetarian, but was recommended by a meat-eater, one who's taste I trust!

The service was great, the food amazing, really friendly staff. I'd recommend the tapas start they do, it's lots of little selections often of their current main dishes, so if your not sure what you'd like it's a good place to start, and it's a great one or share with a significant other.
