Nice and central, you'll find this cafe next the the St Andrews Cathederal, so handy if you're doing a spot of sightseeing and want somewhere to have a bite to eat. Opens early (8.30am) so you can even start your day there with a yummy bacon roll and coffee and they do a discount for the early bird. It is a bit noisy if you're trying to have a chat as it gets very busy at lunchtime but well worth it for the best carrot cake you'll ever eat! coffee excellent and an amazing range of alternative teas from the teapig range, including 'chocolate' tea. Plenty of room, nice seating and great when you can get a seat by the window and watch the world go by! busy in term time and used by staff and students at the University. They do have a good carry out service too. very friendly staff.

best coffee you can get in st andrews. staff amazing, don't know how they stay so happy. cakes and food always fresh and toasted sandwiches done to perfection. roomy and recently decorated so it's nice and cosy and there are quite areas and larger tables. central and quick carry out service.

WOW amazing food but very expensive and therefore only for special occasions or when you're being treated. Food out of this world and always that bit different and the choice of puddings is fantastic. The wine list is expensive so know your wines but the house wine is really very very good. Staff pleasant and friendly.

excellent value and special offers very much cheaper than Tesco's and worth the short drive/walk there from St andrews although there's buses regularly also. well laid out and you can get through the isle ok with trolley. shelves kept well stocked. staff very friendly and what a relief that they pay attention to the customer!

currently being upgraded so it'll be interesting to see whats changed. previously good pub food and quick service at lunch. caters for students as its opposite students union and often has late licence. atmosphere good - 'young' pub.

disappointed - used to go here years ago but whole atmosphere has changed. very quite sticky tables and horrible diet coke. don't know what's happened to it as it used to be such a lively place - at least you'll get a seat!

good atmosphere and a place to go for good sandwiches at lunch and for a friendly catch up after work - often pub quizzes going on which are always a laugh. right in the heart of st andrews so you can walk anywhere and don't have to drink and drive. regular staff who've been there for a while and are welcoming.

a wee bit out of st andrews but there's a good local bus service to st andrews, cupar and dundee which covers most routes. the food here is fantastic, really good value for money and delicious and family friendly at the weekends especially. great views of the air show at Leuchars when its on!

as the name states, nice and central in the centre of St Andrews, so you can go onto other pubs or go to the cinema or eat. friendly staff, good atmosphere and great place to go after work/studying - there's always someone there you'll know and if you don't people are friendly.

WOW! couldn't believe the quality of the meal we had here. staff incredible patient (we couldn't make up our minds and then changed it twice!). wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone.
