Very good all round
The food was lovely and cooked perfectly. The menu had plenty of choice and the restaurant was decorated in an Egyptian style that was nice to look at - not tacky.

The bar was well stocked and the menu was generally gastro pub themed but featured quite a lot of fresh Fish and international dishes. Obviously, check their web site for their current menu!

Only downside was the car park. It was slightly too small, it had no lights or CCTV and it was out of view from the restaurant. On a busy road, it's no wonder that a few cars have been broken in to. As a hotel, you would expect better car parking. Make sure you alarm your car and lock the glove compartment.

Overall however the food was lovely and the ambience was perfect. The service was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Lovely food, good service but a little slow
The food was brilliant. Cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked to specification, the pies had lovely gravy and the desserts were astounding!

The interior is lovely and the tables are all layed out around the central bar area where you order food. Lots of illuminated parking with CCTV.

Definitely give it a go. It took a while for the food to come from the kitchens (about 30 minutes and we didn't order anything 'special') so try to get there about 12-12.30 for lunch. The service was brilliant and very friendly, it was just a shame about the wait. If you have starters though, then it may not seem like such a long time.

Make sure you read the monthly specials that are on the tables - that had some really different food on, such as game pie (not average pub food).
