the food is ok for the money, and the choice of bitter is not very wide, but the atmosphere of the Red Lion makes it very enjoyable for a weekend lunch in the countryside.

Very cozy gastropub, the venue itself is divided in several slightly different rooms, plus a big open area by the canal and lock.

We didn't have a proper lunch but enjoyed a good sticky chocolate toffee, and remarkably good coffee too.

Very nice restaurant in a small alley right off Oxford High Street.

The atmosphere is surprisingly casual, considered the fame of the venue (hint: always book if you want to go eat here in the weekend). The service is also very friendly, even if on a crowded night you can sometime feel the pressure.

Food is very good: delicate, tasty and never too spicy. If you like desserts, make sure you go for the sticky rice ;)

Thanks to the position(s) (piccadilly and covent garden) and elaborate atmosphere, Jewel is one of those places where you can retire after an intense shopping session and find shelter from the overcrowded soho streets.

The overall theme of the place (yeah you guessed right: jewels) is channeled through big chandeliers and contrasted by the dark and velvet furniture, so that the overall impression is flash, maybe baroque, still not overkill.

Good coffee and two rooms upstairs offer a nice place where to have a good conversation, study or even work a bit (the place has free wifi).
Very close to the city centre, it's usually quite and especially enjoyable in the morning, while at lunchtime tends to fill up quickly.

The pub offers a garden (that apparently is heated in winters), free wifi and even a selection of board games. Food is ok and leather couches all over.

Often overcrowded, but especially in summer is THE place to have a pint after work.

The place is cool.
It's just a minute's walk from Covent Garden Market but as soon as you walk in (especially if in a cold winter night) you feel like stepping into a small corner of Spain. Candle light, smart interior design and a good choice of dishes, paired with a few decent entries on the wine list make it a good place for a romantic dinner as well as for chilling out after some crazy shopping in Covent Garden.

Smally, Tiny Venue, but there you can expect to listen to some Blues, with capital B.
The place tends to fill up quite quickly and queue to form outside pretty early in the evening.

Being just around the corner from Regent Street, Oxford Circus tube and Carnaby street make it a perfect place to end a joyful day in soho.

Been there for a drink on a sunny afternoon last summer, the environment is cheerful and the terrace is awesome.
Plus we stumbled into a live jam session. I still wonder how the band could play in the small venue, but it was a lot of fun!!!
