A beautiful setting in the rolling hills of northumberland, just on the outskirts of Rothbury village lies the Rothbury golf club. Recently extended from a 9 hole course and now a fully operational 18 hole course set in fields of green along side the river Coquet which adds to the challenge of playing the course. A tastfule, modern clubhouse, only recently constructed but sympathetic to the surroundings, offers coffee and tea, aswell as the well stocked bar. Staff are welcoming and helpful, serving a selection of sandwiches and light bite options as well as sunday lunches, evening meals and catering for visiting parties, all at very resonable prices. Some entertainment evenings are held which are on offer to non members on purchase of admission ticket.The clubhouse has a very large wooden decked area which on a sunny day is a pleasure to sit on and enjoy a drink and soak up the spectacular views of the valley, a most immpressive sight for the eyes.
