We love pizza hut
Who doesn't love a pizza???
Pizza is one of the favorite foods of the nation whether it is eating at a restaurant, ordering a take away or even buying them from the frozen section of the supermarket. We absolutely love pizza hut although we dont do it very often (was there a few months ago), it cant be very good for you!!!

When we go to the pizza hut, we most ofter go for the buffet with the salad bar option included. So you get a range of salads and pasta along with hot pizzaz filling the trays from time to time. This was we get to taste different pizzas and end up getting full. The drinks are unlimited so once you buy your pepsi the refills are free (though you wont have space for them!). The decor is pleasant and the seating is also good. The cleanliness leaves a little more to be desired but all in all it is a good experiece and the pizzas are yummy!

Good chicken, love it
Nandos is a Portuguese-style chicken chain, specializing in flame grilled chicken and hot sauces. This one is situated on Clements Rd in Ilford next to various other restaurants such as (Frankie & Bennys and Bollywood grill)and the cinema (excellent for a movie and dinner date!). There is ample parking but it is all pay and display. It is also possible to go shopping at the exchange and walk to the restaurant...which I think many people do on the weekends. It is very crowded on saturday and sunday lunch times and you may have to wait for a table.

The interior is quite pleasant with plenty of seating and the walls are coloured in striking bold colours and the overall appearance is quite stimulating. The food is good and what do you get ... chicken ... lots of it. There is peri peri chicken which is the most famous and you can get chicken pitta, chicken burger, chicken salads and also platters with different cuts of chicken. The food is nice and spicy and you can make it even hotter with sauces!!

The service is good and we have never had any complaints to make, the price range is moderate and the whole experience is a positive one.

Love the food here
Caraway Indian restaurant is based in Gants Hill and in my opinion one of the best indian restaurants in Ilford. They have a very decent interior and fantastic seating that has been divided into two parts on the ground level - one near the bar area and one on the opposite side. It is very pleasant and excellent setting for either party dinners or family dinners - one of our preffered choices for special occassions.

The food here is exceptionally good and they serve typical authentic punjabi food (which we love). The starters are good followed by the rich creamy dished of curry and fluffy naans. The service is also really good and the staff are really polite and friendly. The prices are a tad higher but you do not mind paying because the food is truly deserving .

Excellent food at a great price
Sathiyams restaurant is based on Romford Road and in my opinion one of the good indian restaurants and catering services in Ilford. There are also several other restaurants on the same road but they do not have the same pleasant interior setting as this one. They have a very decent interior and fantastic seating that has been divided into two parts on the ground level and for extra seating they also have a lower level. It is very pleasant and excellent setting for either party dinners or family dinners (The hall can also be hired privately for parties and the like). It can get crowded sometimes but most of the time you can be assured that you will get a table.

The food is exceptionally good and they serve either typical authentic south indian food (which we love) and also north indian food which is also really good. They also have chinese but personally we have never tried it. The service is really good and the staff are really polite and friendly. The price range is really good value for money and we absolutely love this place. Give it a try.

Standard budget chinese buffet
Gourmet is situtaed close to the Cinemas on Clements Rd in Ilford. It is also in a line of restaurants that are established there such as Nandos, Frankie & Bennys and Bollywood grill. The service is good and it is also clean. They dont take much time to serve your drinks and you are then free to get you buffet...which is pretty stardard with a lot of fried foods. The prices are quite reasonable and you can also take away boxes of food with your choice from the buffet. It is an average experience and I would rate it as a McDonalds or a KFC.

Was good but now?
We have been regulars at the Elephant Royale for a while now. It was our favorite pick if we were celebrating something because we immensely enjoyed our experiences there. The interior of the place is also way above standard and you can appreciate the thought and meticulous detail given to the space. We have been there a few times recently as well for meals and once a buffet. The food previously was without fault but of recent you can see the drop in quality and also taste. The buffet was also horrible and I think a waste of money. I certainly hope they improve the food quality because they are slightly pricy and you expect something special for those prices and not cheap chinese style buffet meals.

Noisy entertainment
Bollywood grill is situated next to the cinema in Ilford. There are several pay and park facilities close to the restaurant so parking is not such a problem. There is also a bus stop right outside so getting there is not difficult. Weekdays are usually pleasant but it does get very crowded on the weekends. Although the exterior always looks crowded the interior is quite pleasant and clean. They have an array of snacks that you can enjoy if you just want a light meal or you could go for a proper indian meal and enjoy the different tastes. The service is really good and the waiters are polite. It is a pleasant experience and I would definately go again.

Disappointing
I took my better half for an anniversary meal one eveing a few weeks ago being avid italian food lovers. We had to park in a car park from where we had a minute or two walk to the restaurant. First impressions were good. The interior was fairly pleasant and had an italian flare about it. The service was also good, the owner also came over and chatted with us for a while. We ordered the food and turnover time was also good. The food itself was a tad disappointing. There was nothing spectacular about it and the food was very bland. It lacked the normal flavours that are apparent in italian food. The service was also very good but what do you do in a restaurant that has everything except good food?

Good value and good food.
We are regulars at the Pakwaan for the past couple of years. The interior for this restaurant is pleasant and excellent setting for either a romantic dinner or family dinner. The atmosphere is quite lively and it is a fantastic treat for enjoying yourselves from time to time. The food is good (there is alot of choice from vegeterian meals to non vegeterian so you are not limioted on what you would like to eat).The service is also good and the waiters are well mannered and do their job well. The hall can also be hired privately for parties and the like. The only downside here again is the parking that is limited due to the street parking. The restaurant is good value.
