Beautiful setting, idea for all. Original mill house with surviving feeder lake, wheel race and wheel; water runs through the middle of the restaurant.

Especially caters for family with a downstairs area reserved for families with small kids - there is a little padded room the young kids can run around in. Outside there is a new play area and helium balloons and activity packs are given to all small guests.

Good food but very very expensive
What should have been an enjoyable meal was spoiled by charges that made our eyes bulge. The good was good but quite modest portions.

My memory of the event is fogged by alcohol, I expect, but I recall dinner for 12 people being £990. The set banquet was about £35 but the charges came with 10 bottles of £28 wine, cocktails and coffees that were £10 a piece!

Excellent setting, attentive staff.

You could easily assume that this is a greasy spoon cafe, but whilst hit has shoddy décor the food is excellent and staff friendly. Well worth it for an unpretentious and quick dinner.

Good varied menu (not too long which might be a bad sign). Opened in late 2006, I think, so venue is clean, attractive and modern; has outside seating area. For price I'd say good value given that this is central Chiswick.

Smart restaurant
Good food and suitable place to take Granny and the kids. The downsides are there really isn't much of a bar area - this is really a restaurant, and you may feel uncomfortable if you are under 60 years old.

I concur with terrorgraham: this is excellent. It was amazingly empty on a Saturday night - the only reason we can think is that it is off the beaten path and they are waiting for word of mouth to bring them trade.
