Were you in the right place? I’m working in the area too and I’ve heard the (English) guy behind the bar speak French (to me), Spanish, Italian and talk with my Greek colleague. It is very crowded in there on Friday but it’s a good atmosphere, and the staff always working quickly and joking with people when they waiting. There are other pubs 100m away but this one always is the busiest, the food is good (especially the fish and chips). I take my parents here when they come to visit (not on friday;-)) and the staff is always smiling and friendly.
