Benvenuto a Mario's!
Mario's Cafe is tucked away down a side street off the grotty end of Kentish Town Road. However, Kelly Street is arguably one of the prettiest streets in London, full of pastel coloured Georgian Houses and Mario's Cafe is a veritable institution. The place where "everyone knows your name", people pop in at all times of the day for a coffee, a fantastic Italo-English fry-up (think scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on fresh toasted ciabatta) and (a rarity in these parts) a decent espresso. Mario's also does a reasonably priced lunch and as Mario and his mother are Italian, you can expect the pasta to be al dente... The only problem is getting a table in this tiny place; Mario makes the customers so welcome that no one ever wants to leave!
