Nice big pub in the Docks
Big "old" 3 storey pub with wooden beams and lots of room inside. Right in the middle of St Kaths docks so it gets a lot of tourist trade. Outdoor area is not great (in front of the pub and enclosed from the dock) but I regularly enjoy a few pints inside - some comfy chairs if you're there early.

Upstairs restaurant is good
Not a bad place. Bar downstairs gets horribly overcrowded and I'm not 1 for trying to fight my way past tightly packed groups to get a drink. However the restaurant upstairs is good and twice the size of the bar - big portions and good simple food. Pizzas are a specialty there!

Good steak, bad booking policy
Having read reviews on other branches of this steak house I was eagerly anticipating making a visit to their Borough restaurant. However was disappointed that I couldn't book a table (apparently it's their policy not to take bookings of anything less than a "group", whatever that means). I do understand that making a booking for a restaurant equals turning up on time, and so was disappointed when 4 of us arrived 7.15 on Tues night, to be told that the wait was 45-50mins!! My fellow diners convinced me to hang around, however after 65mins we were almost ready to walk away, only to be shown to a table after a few evil stares at the "maitre d" (who really needs to be shown the ropes of such a role).
Anyway the food - the steak was good, service not bad either, but in hindsight would I have waited 65min for what we got? Probably not.

This is a great riverside pub and you can be sure that the outdoor part will be packed come the first weekend of sun in London... Pub downstairs has a good amount of room, the restaurant upstairs serves great gastropub food. As 1 of my locals, I will be frequenting the CK in the months to come!
