I only gave Sable D'Or 2 stars because they customer service is the slowest in the world. Even when the place is half empty, you still have to wait for ages for your food, your bill or whatever. Staff speak broken English and there is a very high turnover as well, which puts me off. However, the food is delicious and the pastries are to die for. That is the main reason I keep on going back, except I usually take it away just so that I don't have to wait to get served. The other good thing about it is that it is child friendly so when my son was little I was able to go there for lunch no problem. I just wish that the staff was curtous enough to open the door for my buggy (the door is heavy and opens inwards, it's not an easy task), but what can I do.

Renew Medica is a Medical Aesthetics centre that opened up in London, they offer all sorts of skin treatments like laser hair removal, Photo Rejuvenation (IPL), Skin Health Restoration, Micro-dermabrasion, Wrinkle Treatment, Hyperhidrosis Control, Dermal Fillers, MesoGlow, Ultra Tone, Remedial Electrolysis and many more. I have been to their Barnet and Muswell Hill branch and I found them to be very professional and friendly. They make sure they test yur skin before doing anything so you know you won't have an allergic reaction, they also have special offers every now and then. I am having laser hair removal treatment in my armpits and I am so pleased with the results, I want to do other parts of my body next. I strongly recommend it.

I want to tell you about this shop because it is one of my favourites when I have to buy gifts from someone. As per the title, they sell old fashioned phones, books, board games, jewellery, stationery, dressing gowns, mirrors, porcelaine mugs, a bit of everything, you really are spoilt for choice. They have a wide selection of presents for expecting mothers, like silver tubes for the baby's birth certificate, silver boxes for the baby's first tooth etc. they are so cute. I could spend hours in there looking at every little thing. The often have sales on as well so if youplan ahead you can buy lovely little presents for your loved ones for Christmas.

The Laboratory Health Club
This si the best health club I have ever been to, it is immaculate, candles lit at reception, extremely clean changing rooms and a wide selections of activities and classes. It is an adult only club, but you can bring your child swimming on a Sunday morning. The juice bar offers a healthy selection of food and you can relax reading newspaper while looking over at the beautiful mature gardens. My only complaint would be that the staff at the gym is not particularly friendly. They ever make any eye contact, but of course when a celebrity walks in (there are a few), they are all smiles. A part from this, it is a great club, it's expensive but you can see where your money is going. There is also a Beauty Treatment secion if you want to get pampered.

The Gate
This is one of my favourite pubs. It is child friendly and they have a wide selection of dishes, meat, fish, the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. It's quite a big pub with many tables, yet food is served quickly. They have a garden at the back for those who wish to eat outside and the staff is very friendly. It is not my local pub but I dont' mind driving 4 miles to have a lovely pub lunch. It is always very busy so it is best to book a table. I recommended this pub to some friends of mine and they keep on going back too. There is also a car park at the back, if not you can park in the side roads.

I love this place! Plants are beautiful and in immaculate condition and staff are very useful and knowledgeable. Plants are very expensive, be warned, but kept beautifully. The reason I love this place is that they sell lovely stuff for the home as well. Whenever I need to make a present for someone, I go there. From foreign delicatessen to accessories for the house, French chic furniture and garden accessories, the choice is endless. I could spend hours in there. And at Christmas time you get to meet Santa in his grotto and they have a beautiful display of lights that children love.

The Curtain Factory Outlet
I went to the Curtain Factory Outlet because it was recommended by a neighbour who said that they had a wide selection of fabric at reasonable prices. While this is true, I was not prepared for the rudeness of the staff, who have very poor customer service skills, they don't acknoledge you when you are there, the don't know smile, I was appalled. Having found the fabric I was looking for, I decided to have the curtains made by them anyway. The curtains took ages to get done, they lost my order, you name it. When I eventaully got my curtains, the trim at the top was not the style I wanted and they refused to give me a discount, heck they didn't even apologise, they said I didn't explain myself clearly when I placed the order! The quality of the curtain was second to none, I have to admit that, but the customer service is really bad, I won't be going back.

Toffs
Toffs is my favourite fish restaurant and take away. It's slightly dearer than the average fish & chips but portions are huge and always cooked to perfection. If you eat in, the manager always makes sure that the food on your plate looks and tastes right. He replaced the chips I was given without me saying a word because he said they looked over cooked. When i was pregnant he recommended that I try a different dressing because the one I had chosen had raw egg in it. And everyone is really friendly, shame they havent' got many tables so you might have to queue if you turn up at busy times.
They also do grilled fish to take away if you want to watch the calories.

Leakbusters
Stay well away from these useless people. They claim to be a young, fun and efficient plumbing company that offers everything you need to do with plumbing, gas servicing, boiler servicing, drainage etc. They are useless. I called out an engineer because my boiler wasn't working, he serviced it in 10 mins, found nothing worng with it, said it was coming on ok and charged me £100. The following day the boiler failed again and so did for several days and I could not get anyone back. I called them 5 times and every time I would get told that someone will look into it and call me back and they never did. In the end, after yet another call, I was told that as far as they are concerned the boiler worked so if I wanted them to come back I had to pay them again grrr...stay well away from these people. And to think that they have been on tv and have good reviews from 'famous people'. Well, if you are a normal person like me, they will take your oney and run.

Goldilocks
I have been looking for a hairdressers for years. I was never happy with the cut or colour and would go home only to wash it again and restyle it myself. Until I found Goldilocks. Forget about the manager, who is not aprticularly friendly and only likes to take the money. The other staff are brilliant. I tried 3 different stylists and they are the best. They listen to what you say and give honest advice when asked. They have a massage chair that massages your back and legs while you have your hair washed, it is Heaven. They know how to cut long hair and make you look and feel like a million pounds. It is very expensive, but I keep on going back because my hair has never looked so good. I even have my facials done there.
