Bad experience
I didn't enjoy eating here very much at all, me and my partner went to the cinema then to potters for a meal afterwards. It was quite late at night maybe around 11.00pm, the restaurant was empty as i thought they were closing, we asked if we could still eat, they said yes but we felt rushed and pestered, we were constantly asked if everything was ok, and told they would be closing soon, which ruined the experience alot. We probably wouldn't have eaten here if we knew if was going to be like that. I can't say i was very impressed with the food either. I got tomatoe and basil soup with was really nice then had lasagne which was in my opinion was horrible, it was far too cheesy and had a weird taste. I couldn't eat it, and i usually love lasagne. On the plus side i didn't have to pay for the lasagne and was offered something else by the manager who dealt with it quite well, but I felt i didn't have time to wait on anything being cooked or adequate time to eat it, they never said as much but I felt they wanted us to hurry up so they could close, so I didn't order anything else. My partner got the mixed grill which he enjoyed. I deffinately wouldn't go back to potters and had to get a pizza on the way home as i was still starving lol

Not very clean
The service is usually quite quick although on some ocassions you may have to wait for certain things to cook. The prices are good value for money and there is quite a good range to choose from, there are also healthier options which is nice to see, including healthier things for the kiddies. This particular mcdonalds i find a little offputting, the last time i was there it wasn't very clean, there was wrappers and bits of food lying about the floor, we also had a fly buzzing about us. The female toilet was quite unhygienic and if im honest it had a horible smell. There is a play area for the Kids which is great but it was a little dirty too, it felt quite greasy and could have done with a good clean. I don't eat from mcdonalds but my partner and nephew seemed to enjoy the food. I wouldn't really recommend anyone eat here although the food may be nice its wasn't a very nice enviroment to eat in.

Great for kids and parents
I have taken my nephew here on several ocassions and have really enjoyed it. It is located in the ocean terminal shopping mall on the top floor. There is a massive soft play area that is very safe and lots of fun for the kids. There is soft chutes, ball pits, climbing and lots more. There are table and chairs for parents or older kids to sit and enjoy teas/coffee, snacks or even meals which are available to buy from the cafe in mollys. The cafe is a little expensive but saying that it is very cheap for the kids to enjoy the play area, if i remember corectly it was £2.95 for roughly 2 hours which i thought was good value for money. It is bright, cheerful and great if you have been shopping and need a little break and a chance to have a seat while the kids can have lots of fun. There is a gorgeous view overlooking the royal yacht britania and the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful and good with the kiddies.

This shop has come in handy many a time for me as it is usually open 24 hours, i think during the week it may close early (i think about 1pm) It sells everything from fruit and vegetables to alcohol, cigerettes, magazines/newspapers and scratchcards. It also sells scottish power cards which can be handy if you unexpectantly and run out late at night. The shop is quite small more of a convenience store rather than a supermarket but has a good variety of things, and also has some nice offers. My one complaint is that the staff seem a little quiet and not overly friendly, i have only really ever used this shop late at night so i don't know if it is the same during the day, so that is why i have given it 4 stars instead of 5.

Gorgeous Chinese food
I have to disagree with the previous reviewer and say that i think the food gorgeous. Everything i have tried has been very nice. I have eaten in and had food delivered from the ping on. My dining in experience was very pleasant, although there are 2 parts to the restaurant, we were seated at the top part which i found to be a little small, we were a bit too close to other customers, it seemed like they were trying to fit as many in as they could. Thats aside it had a nice atmosphere and the staff were polite and friendly. The menu had a good selection to choose from. We had vegetable spring rolls to start which were lovely and crisp with a generous amount of filling. I had Chicken curry, which i really enjoyed although my one complaint would be that the curry sauce was a little runny.

Now on to the delivery service, the food was good as always the prices i thought a little expensive compared to other chinese takeaways but worth paying because of the quality, and it always arrives hot and fairly quickly.

Great little chinese restaurant.

Tescos is my favourite supermarket, i usally shop in Tescos at corstorphine but have used the one at broughton a few times. It has always a pleasant experience. The store is quite big and has a great variety of groceries as you would expect. They also sell flowers, magazines, cigerettes and national lottery kiosk. It is always clean and bright. The staff have always friendly, helful and polite. There are many checkouts and i have never had to queue for long. There is also self scan checkouts, which gives you the choice of putting your shopping through yourself. Although i wouldn't recommend this, to be blunt these are more hassle than they worth, and it is so much easier to go to a cashier. The prices are quite reasonable, of course they have value range and also a tesco finest range which is a lot more expensive. There is plenty parking space available. My one disapointment is that they dont seem to have as many offers or as good as offers in other supermarkets But all in all A great supermarket to get everything under one roof.

One of my favourite places
I love portobello beach, although some of this may be sentimental value as i lived in portobello as a kid, and spent many a summer there. The beach is gorgeous and is very clean. There is 2 amusements on the seafront, which is alot of fun, there is also bingo snooker and pool. There are many places to eat including wimpy, and traditional fish and chip shop. There is also a playpark for children. I love to spend a summer day here, pack up a few things, arrive early in the morning and dont come back untill after tea, maybe even take a BBQ. There is so much to do for all the family, the kids will love it, its usually really busy on sunny days, which is mostly made up of familys spending the day there. It is quite easy to get to there are buses running from all around the city. Highly recommended, It is one of my favourite places.

Beautiful
The Royal botanic gardens is beautiful and full of wonderful flowers and greenary, it really is a beautiful place to walk in on a sunny day. The Gardens are very well maintained. To be honest i can't say flowers are really my thing but walking in here was very relaxing and enjoyable. The flowers and tress all have little tags which tell you which type they are. They have a big glasshouse which keeps exotic flowers etc. There is also a pond with ducks. It is free to enter which is excellent and there is an optional donation box. You can choose to sit and relax on the grass or you can explore the gardens. There is no car park but there is parking available although you do need to pay via parking meter. I'm not sure if this is a day out for all the family as childen may get a little bored. But i'd recommend that you go at least once if you havent been before. The next time i go i would love to take a picnic and sit and relax in the beautiful surroundings.

Great day out for all the family
Edinburgh zoo is a great day out for all the family, i was last there a few months back and had a great day, we took some brillaint photos and enjoyed seeing all the animals. The only disapointment i faced was there were no monekeys as a new enclosure was being built. I believe it has now opened and have heard from a friend who went that it is really good. My last visit was the first time i had seen the penguin parade which was quite interesting to watch. The door to the enclosure is opened and the penguins themselfs decide if they want to go for a walk, they are not forced to come out, it is all up to them They then parade around the zoo. The big cats are another favourite of mine to see, there is a great selection of animals and they all look well cared for.

As someone else mentioned it can be a bit of a trek as alot of it is uphill, but they do provide an open top bus if you dont want to walk which will take you up the top of the zoo. There is also a great giftshop with some wonderful animal gifts. They have two restaurants, and ice cream vans which sell ice creams and soft drinks which is especialy great on hot days.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great family day out that all the family will enjoy.

The vue cinema i am reviewing is located in the ocean terminal in edinburgh. It is farely easy to get to and there is plenty parking space as the complex has a car park. Is is in the shopping mall on the top floor.

I will start of by saying that the prices are average (£9.50) although when you buy a ticket you are given a voucher for £1.50 off your next visit. There is a ice cream counter, a sweet shop, and hot food. Which are i have to say very pricey £4.50 for a hot dog or £4.50 for a juice. That aside the staff are very helpful and polite. There is a always a good choice of movies to choose from.

The seats are very comfy, and the sound and picture quality is as would be expected. There is uaully 30 minutes of adverts before your chosen film starts which personally really annoys me as it might state it starts at 9pm when in reality it doesnt actually begin untill 9.30pm. Although it is likely that this happens in all cinemas. In my opinion is it just your average cinema, nothing special really to report and not alot to say which is negitive either.
