This carvery is very well located by the marina and closed to the 10 pin bowling and cinema. It is perfect for a nice night out.
The decoration inside is lovely, really warm and cosy. The food is nice with a lot of variety and all at a good price.

Real Italian
This place is run by Italians and you can feel the passion for their food in your plate!
The meals are fresh full of real flavour of Italy.
The service is nice with a lay back and friendly atmosphere.
Their lunches are good value.
I also highly recommend this place for a guarantee lovely evening.

Comfortable Pub
This is a nice country pub with no pretention at all. It has been refurbished not so long ago and looks lovely now. The atmosphere is friendly and simple but with a touch of elegance. The place is full of history and you grasp a bit of this with the old photos on the walls, and the dining area being in the old coach entrance to the back yard. The food is normal quality pub food. The carvery is nice with big portions and served until fairly late. I think they have certain nights of the week when you can go to play skittles, but it has to be verified. This is a non formal place to go to relax.

Pleasant Country Pub/Restaurant
This country pub and restaurant is in the middle of the sticks. You need a car to go there and it is a bit far from anywhere but it is really worth to go. The food is excellent either in the pub or restaurant. They use the local products at their best with no pretention. The decoration is lovely, and the outside garden is lovely. It is a really nice and romantic place to take your half for a nice experience. Don’t forget to call to book as it would be a shame to go all the way there to find it closed or fully booked!

Certainly not my favourite restaurant! I have been there three times and every time was a big disappointment. We all know that French food is supposed to be the best! Well I think that this restaurant is either taking the piss on the French cuisine, or they really do not know what French cuisine is. The restaurant itself is cute and well decorated, but the food is just dreadful. Because it is supposed to be French does not mean it has to be overpriced! And the quality of the food is a real let down, especially when you know that locally you can get some of the best meat and vegetable from farms. I sound hard on this review, but really after three visits I do not have doubts that I will not go another time, they have used all of my patience.

Very Traditional!
This is a very traditional local pub. It is a fair size with two bars with two entries. Mainly the locals go to this pub, retired and the general punters. Beers are nice and the service is good and friendly. No food served, you can get crisps, peanuts but this is about it. Also they do not have a beer garden. You will find the usual slot machines, Sky TV and even a jukebox. I am putting a review on this pub not because it is great but just because it was my local pub while I was at University and I had great time during the Sunday night quiz. So I thought I would pay my tribute by entering some words about it on the Web!

This is my favourite Chinese take away in town. People there are really friendly, always with a smile and happy to help. Unfortunately they do not deliver the food so for the ones who want to stay in on the sofa it is not an option. If you call them and order, the food is normally ready for collection within 15-20min. So why do I take the pain to drive and get the food there? Well simply because I believe that the food is worth it. This is obviously my statement but I would like to add that a Chinese friend of mine, told me that she also find the food nice. A trick do not order prawn cracker because they give them for free with every orders.

Pizza Home!
This is the ultimate food convenience as you just go there or phone to order your food. Well the pizzas are nice, and they have all the different toppings you can dream of. You can even make your own custom pizza! Now they do taste great and yes it is a easy/lazy way to be fed, but it comes at a price. From £7 to £17 for a pizza is really a rip off. You can go to ASDA and make you own one and it will cost you less than £4. Ok you have to cook it, but how difficult it is to open an oven switch it on and place the pizza inside for 10minutes? As for the taste, ok Perfect Pizzas taste slightly better but not enough to justify the difference in price. So for me it is a no go, but I respect and understand why people go there.

Pretentious Indian Restaurant
I have been a few times to this restaurant but I have never really appreciated it.
The restaurant is located in a cellar. The acoustic is bad, so on a busy night it makes you feel like you are eating in a canteen. They have put too many tables also, which means that privacy is non existent. Temperature goes high and all of these factors are making the whole dining experience difficult. The menu is extremely long and it does take at least 20minutes to read all the dishes. Every time I went I basically chose by chance as I could not make a decision due to the extensive range of food. The food is ok, but far to be the best curry I have had.

Far from town centre
This restaurant is really convenient for people staying at the near by hotel as it is just of a junction from the motorway. However it is about 5 minutes from the town centre which makes it difficult of access. The food is average nothing to complain about but nothing to praise either. The food is not fancy just the usual banal things you expect from main stream restaurant. Prices are reasonable and the service is fine. This is really only a convenient restaurant for people travelling who want to stop for lunch, or stopping overnight at the hotels near by. I would not recommend there otherwise.
