Chandeliers and fish cakes for lunch
This is a great little pub on Marylebone road. The dcor is really nice with chandeliers above the bar, big comfy seats, and they have a room for hire upstairs. I had smoked haddock fish cakes and home made potato wedges, served with salad. Portions are very good. The air-conditioning is not best resolved in here so it can be a bit cold even on a sunny day. Some people say that the crowd can be snobbish but I didnt notice. The biggest downside is that its a smoking venue but with seating outside and during lunch hour it wasnt smoky at all.

Buzzy local with great food
This is one of the few restaurants that have been in Crouch End for over 20 years. I had great burgers here and breakfast. The portions are huge, burgers are made of real meat (nothing processed there), very juicy and well cooked. Its always busy and its best to book in advance. The staff is great and very knowledgeable about food and wine. Once we wend in without booking and it was full. We were disappointed and left. The waiter run after us to tell us that someone was just leaving and we can have a table. That was really sweet!

Wonderful food, coffee and cakes
This is such a gem. Its a small place near Covent Garden that does amazing food and the BEST cheese cake in town. Its passion fruit cheese cake which melts in your mouth and leaves tangy taste of passion fruit. Its so light (ok it feels that way) that it doesnt make you fat! They have a great deli, my favourite is vegetarian lasagne which its served with salad. They do classical south American black beans with sausage which is also nice but can be a bit heavy for me. Soups are also good and they have a good wine list including a rose which you cant always find in small places like that. The seating is simple, wooden benches and it can feel a bit squashy if its full.

Great lunch place
This is another takeaway deli/restaurant/bar place. I love going here for a quick bite to eat or meet girlies for a lunch. They make lovely soups, and always have a 3-5 hot dishes fish, pasta, quiches etc. There is a wonderful selection of breads and they do pancakes till 6pm (please check as it may vary). To sit down is a bit more expensive but the service is nice and its all beautifully done with thick linen table clots all perfectly clean. There is a restaurant at the back but I never been there.

French style food and take away place
This is a lovely place near Farringdon tube station. Its got a food hall at the front where you can get anything from quiche to bottles of olive oil and fresh, beautifully arranged vegs and fruit. At the back is a rather small dining area and it feels like stylish kitchen with jars and fancy pasta and oil tins stacked high all around you. We had a sun brekki there and the eggs were phenomenal. The bread is baked on the premises, or so they told us. Nice sausages and bacon as well. Its very nice although it could do with a bit charm from the staff (not rude just not relaxed) so it feels a bit formal.

A Turkish (ottoman) restaurant with great food
This is a two level restaurant/cocktail bar place on Great Eastern Street. They serve classic Turkish food but the quality is amazing. We had a networking event there and the staff did a great job organising it and prepared a great buffet.
