Pizza Express Amersham is a really nice restaurant, being a chain the menu is predictable and the food is always nice. the place itself has lots of exposed wooden beams and is very pretty located in amersham old town. there is plenty of free parking along amersham old town high street although you may not get to park directly outside pizza express. you most likely will get a space somewhere. The staff are freindly in here and the food is italian including thinks like pizza and pasta, they have thin pizza bases which i like as when you have a thick pizza base it is too easy to fill up before you can finnish it and you get more flavour on a thin base, the size of the pizza are huge anyway and i cant finnish them anyway. they are reasonably priced with pizza from about £7-9 and they have a selection of starters and desserts also. they have a nice garlic pizza bread starter which is yummy and great to share (although beware as this is the size of a whole pizza!!)

I live just down the road from here and I love to pop in for an after work drink with freinds or for lunch on a weekend. They do the nicest south african chenin blanc here and they staff are really freindly! They have a nice selection of drinks including hendricks gin which they even know goes with cucumber instead of lime which is always annoying when you go to somwhere that doesnt know this. They have realy nice decor inside with drift wood and ornate carvings along with nice chuncky tables and some cow hide rugs it really has a nice feel to the place. They also sell a nice selection of champagne which is good if your celebrating. There food isnt the best iv had I will admit but it is still nice. they have a nice duck pizza or crispy duck salad. I had a veal hotpot once which wasnt very nice but I still had a nice night as the atmosphere is so good.

It can get very busy at times so often you wont be able to sit down in the bar area but it just adds to the atmosphere and personally, I love this place.

The Food here is lovely, You almost always need to book in advance as they are often fully booked, occasionally you can get a seat without booking if there are just two of you though. It is busy for a reason, the food here is fantastic, you start with some evidently fresh and homemade dips to go with popodoms, these are fresh and crisp and still warm which is nice. they have a selection of dips in a pretty little tray and they are all delicious and none are too spicey. They have changed thier menu recently and now have an even bigger selection of dishes including things like mongfish fish curry and coconut spiced dishes along with the traditional dishes such as a rougan for those who prefer them. Everything is delicious, I have never not liked my meal here, the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth and the servings are a nice sized portion (if perhaps a bit big). The atmosphere in here is nice, they have an area with soft seats richly decorated in red and vivid colours and then a big conservatory at the back looking out onto thier beautiful gardens which you can eat outside in in the summer. it can get a little noisy in the conservatory due to the harsh furnishings but some people like that. Overall I highly recomend this restaurant!!
