Good range of Veggie and Vegan food
Mirch Masala has a great range of veggie and vegan mains ranging from £5-£8 and lots of side to choose from. They do take out meals also. If you looking for a cheap option they do a good range of burgers and chip from as a litte as £3-£4 pounds.
The service there can be a little hit and miss sometimes, I have had lots of really good service with very good food but on a few occasion I have been sat waiting around to order to the point I had that I has to find someone to take my order, and the place was very empty. Also once I was served a wrap that was cold in the middle but on the plus they too my food back and gave me a fresh meal which was a lot better!
It is worth trying as its range is super and general you will have a very good price meal with no problems!

Good fun
Jongleurs is a comedy club it’s larger than life with bright theatre lights and music that makes you heart pound with excitement. It very over the top but this makes a very fun and very funny evening out with your friend!

Its not the cheapest of night out, but you can get some reasonable deals for food and tickets. The food isn’t the greatest and its very over prices so are the drinks, and the bar is a right battle to get to. Fill you glasses up in the breaks or you might have a stand up pointing over at your making some funnies at your expense.

All in all worth going with a group of friends and just having a jolly good giggle and a few spit your drinks out laughs.

typical rock club
Mosh is your general rock indie and alterative club, with three floors of different styles. The drinks are very over priced and the selection is not very good, they have some offer but nothing that will have you jumping up and down.
As far as your generic rock clubs goes its not too bad, better for the younger crowd of below 20’s as there is a lot of scene kid with matching top shop outfits. The music is somewhat charty indie but you do get the occasion great song.
So if you just want a bit of fun, or your young and into chart indie and scarf’s then give it ago. Mosh is everything you expect for the type of club it is.

Overpriced sellout
Fan club is not the place it was, it was a small club with cheap drinks and a great mix of young people would go and boogie the night away to the 70’ and 80’s night. Now it has had a make over and it is a crowded maze of rooms and not the greatest mix of people.

If you want an alterative night that doesn’t involve spending most of the night lost and trying to find your friend, over prices drinks in warm glasses and white shirt wearing loud men pushing you about without a care in the world and arguing then this place I very much NOT for you.

If you have some extra money and fancy a posh night out or afternoon shopping drinks with class then head to the turkey café and try one of their Champaign cocktails. I have to say the drink are a little costly and above average.

With Trendy retro feel to the place and with 4 different sitting areas all having different vibes to there own right!

Sit looking out to the hustle of the street in the entrance area, or sit down stair by the bar and watch the staff at work there magic making their cocktails. Wish for something quieter then head upstairs which has large canvas painting and a fewer tables and chair, or still wish for something more private? Then head to the top floor for your own private table with friend, which makes you feel in a world of your own!

NIce venue sadly lack of well known bands nowadays
When you look around the walls in the charlotte you can see many a great band that have played in this venue, and I myself have seen many a super band or singer song writer here. The charlotte is very small and dingy but I feel this adds to its charm as watching a gig becomes a little more personal. The drinks are over priced mind!
Sadly the venue is still the same but the quality of bands has gone down hill, they have a website to keep you up to date but where as a year ago I would have lists of people I wanted to see this year I now struggle to see someone half decent and someone who is not a tribute act!
If you see someone you like go, you will love venue.

The drinks selection here is wonderful they have a guest ale every week, which is always a good surprise, and they let you try a bit before you buy. They do a good range of spirit including gentleman jack single barrel, and a great range of bottles. The atmosphere is relaxed and the music is not too loud. The prices are about average for Leicester with a half of the guest ale being £1.50 - £2. Last week I had an apple wheat beer, which was lovely and refreshing.

They sell the best pizza ever which the smell alone will make you drool. This place worth a visiting as you will keep visiting time and time again!

The orange tree is a funky pub with vintage décor, good drinks and a great cocktail menu, which includes drinks with chocolate in, or for the none sweet tooth crush ice and mint leaves as well as a good amount of the strong stuff.

The food here is very tastey! And they do the best wedges I have ever eaten in my life, there is nothing better than a afternoon half and some wedges to fuel the rest of the day. The wifi is free and will connect right away without any faffing for codes.

There is a large beer garden also which always seems very busy. Oh and the ladies hand soap smells like a sweetie, which has to be a good thing :D

Cheap and studenty
The polar bear is a scream pub right next to De Montford Uni, so understandably its mainly full of students taking advantage of there cheap drink via there yellow card. If you don’t have a yellow card the prices aren’t too bad but the choice is fairly limited.

They do cheap food, buts it’s not the best. You pretty much pay for what you get. There beer and a burger offer is pretty good for around £3.99 you get burger (veggie, beef and chicken) a cheap pint, wine or a pint of coke. If you on a budget it’s a place you should head towards. It has pool tables and a beer garden.

One of the best!
The Pump and Tap is a very kookie old mans pub, with the beer garden set under a bridge. They have a huge fish tank in the garden and a blanket box if you’re our side and cold!

I personally love the pump and tap they do great German beer on tap, and it has such a lovely vibe to the place even when busy you can still hear yourself think! The crowd here is very mixed from old to young .

At the moment they are trying to pull down the pub to place a swimming pool so all go have a drink and keep the wonderful pub alive! (also you can get a save the pub t-shirt for £3-bargin!)
