I have been a huge fan of this reaturant for over 10 years!! Classic English food with some twists, never disapointing, great way to serve wine (huge magnums and they measure the bottle before and after - you don't have to finish the whole thing - you pay for what you drink), huge portions, friendly and kind waitstaff, great, romantic decor. A real winner for locals and tourists alike!!!

Disappointing
Recently renovated, very disappointing. Out of eggs at breakfast (on a full English beakfast???!!) (They don't know how to cross the street to buy eggs at the shop?? They don;t know they had guests staying at the hotel that might want breakfast in the AM???) Then reserved a table for 4 for lunch for 3 hours later and when we showed up we wre told that the person should not have taken our reservations as private functions had booked out the dining room and pub eating area. Management is non-existant at this property obviously.
