The Chandos is a London institution!

Cheep Sam Smith's beer and really friendly vibe mean this place is packed in the early evening with an eclectic crowd of drinkers, theatre goers, tourists and workers.

Downstairs is traditional old man's boozer, while upstairs almost feels like your in a sitting room with plenty of couches and space to stand when it's busy. Always worth popping in for a £1.98 pint of Alpine Lager!

The Best Steaks in the West!
This place is fantastic. The interior is hugely stylish,there are cow hide wall hangings and rugs, even the seat covers are made from cow hide! Now, this could sound a bit over the top, but set in this very cool, dimly lit restaurant they create an atmosphere of super luxury and high taste... a taste that is matched by their food, of which there is only one choice for the sane carnivore. Steak.

When you order they bring out a board with the 6 or 7 types of steaks they do and give you a summary of what the differences are and how they're best cooked. I chose the medium sized filet steak.

There is an unobtrusive open kitchen where you can watch your feast being prepared, which I liked. I love my steaks anyway but this was by far and away the juciest, tenderest, bestest steak I've eaten in the UK. Accompanying vegetables were crispy and fresh and just the right amount... my mouth is watering as I'm typing this by the way...

I went with a girlfriend and it was a perfect setting for a romantic evening a deux, although there were a few groups of 8-10 who also seemed to be enjoying themselves... and the food.

The service was spectacular, with some of the best looking waitresses in London!!

As you can probably tell I really rate this place and recommend it to anyone... as long as they're not vegetarian!

I liked this place describes it well. I went for a business lunch and (funnily enough) it was full to the brim with business people. The decor is stylish if a bit barren, and the food while of an excellent quality, the portions were so small that I could have had double of each course and still been left hungry. The service was great though and they have some great wines. I'd go back definitely (but next time I'll grab a sandwich for afterwards!)

Total find of a pub! Looks cool from the outside, great interior, pool table, friendly staff and not too expensive. What more could you want? Considering the poor state of any other of the local establishments it's no wonder that this joint gets very busy.
