This shop is very popular, and is probably helped by the fact that there are 5 student halls of accommodation a very short walk away. The shop isn't very big, but in terms of basic needs such as some bread, milk, cornflakes, some meat, etc., it does the job. As is expected, the choice is limited. As this is a small branch, it is a common problem that most of the items are priced slightly higher than the larger Sainsburys which is about 15-20 minutes walk away from the smaller Sainsburys. It is situated on Fulham Road where there is a bus stop right outside the shop, so it is very convenient, but personally I have almost always decided to walk that bit more further to the bigger Sainsburys.

Sainsbury's
This large supermarket is very popular especially amongst students from Imperial university which is about 10-15 minutes walk away. You can find pretty much everything you want there, and everything is at a reasonable price. It is less expensive than Waitroses but more than a few have said that it is more expensive than the Tescos further down Cromwell Road (about 20 minutes walk away from Sainsburys).

The staff there have always been very helpful and friendly, and I like the self service machines far more than those in Tescos. The supermarket has only one floor, but it is so big that you really can find pretty much everything there. I'm not sure how good they are with cloths and things, but for the whole year that I've used that supermarket, it has never disappointed me or the students I know there.

They do have some good offers on sometimes for example buy one get one free full sized easter eggs, etc.. There is always a discounted isle for food that will be out of date the following day, and there are a great many checkouts there as well.

Natural History Museum
Like the Science Museum, admission is also free. There is so much to see here! I enjoyed it very, very much and it definitely makes an interesting and expensive day trip especially if you are in London anyway. I have only been once, but I definitely recall it being very impressive inside. There was a very well preserved full scale dinosaur on show when we entered as well as impressive collections. One of the most memorable things I saw there was a section of a VERY large tree, which had been very well preserved as was older than the Islamic religion. You can spend hours looking at everything in this museum and not get bored. For the younger generation, this might not be so, but it's definitely an opportunity for them to learn more about the planet they live on.

Tate Modern
The Tate Modern is very popular with tourists and in a popular and easily accessible location. Personally, I didn't like the Tate Modern at all, and the must hyped up crack in the floor didn't really live up to expectations. Before arriving I'd heard that some unfortunate people had become casualties because of the crack, so it was a disappointment when I saw it.

The Tate Modern is the home of a modern international and contemporary art. Before I visited the museum I hadn't seen much of ''modern art'', but personally I hated the ''art'' that I saw there a lot. If you are interested in modern art, then this gallery is for you, as it has many exhibits, but it's definitely not somewhere that houses something for everyone.

They do hold workshops, courses, and discussions, so if contemporary art is your thing, you should definitely visit!!

National Portrait Gallery
I really, really loved this gallery. It is pretty easy to find and inside houses many, many magnificent paintings. You can find paintings of contemporary celebrities such as Judi Dench and JK Rowling. The entry fee is free and there is so much to see that it is worth the travel money to get there. Apart from paintings, they also have areas of the gallery devoted to stunning photographs.

Last time I went, there was a Vanity Fair Exhibition, I did want to see this, as it had been quite publicised and the photographs looked beautiful, but the entry fee was over £8!

The Science Museum
I really enjoyed this museum although my visit was rather brief. The exhibits are very interesting and some are of an impressive scale. It is a great place for younger generation who are interested in learning. The many interactive exhibits also help to spark off interest. There is the science museum shop where you can buy various gadgets and gifts as well as the usual bits of stationery and random bouncy balls. The price in the shop isn't too unreasonable, and is very popular amongst the visitors there.

There is also the IMAX 3D cinema which is very popular, and if you are a student at Imperial College, which is only a short walk away, you are entitled to free entry (although I'm not certain about times and dates).

All in all, a very good day out, and free entry too!

The British Museum
The first time I went here, I was about 12. We literally spent most of our day out in London here as my father couldn't get enough of the British Museum. For me, it houses something for everybody, whether you want to look at relics from the Roman empire or a kid fascinated with Egyptian mummies as I was.

Most of the objects on display have been preserved very well, and each have interesting descriptions next to them displaying things like the period of the object. I have been twice in my life, but will definitely try and go again. I personally don't believe that it is possible to see everything throughly in one day and several outings are necessary.

It is delightful to see many treasures from different countries all gathered together, although some will argue that many are stolen goods that should have been returned a long time ago, a view I did take, but on reflection, bringing together such a fabulous collection has made it possible for people to view the national treasures of several countries with ease, and it has helped to promote interest and understanding, which is important.

I have to agree with the other reviewer, unfortunately some of the visitors of to the museum don't respect the museum as they should do, which is a real shame. It isn't very pleasant for other visitors either. I daresay many younger visitors may have just been dragged along by parents.

Euston Railway Station
This railway station is probably one of the best that I have used alongside Manchester Piccadilly. It is larger than Manchester Piccadilly but the layout is similar. There are over 10 platforms in a row at one end of the station, at the other end there are the entrances to the station. There are many shops nearby and you aren't short for choice if you wish to buy something to eat.

It is a very, very busy station with trains going to many different destinations in the country as well as the airports.

There are large boards and voice overs telling you about train details. There are always staff on hand and information desks where you can ask for help. You can also purchase oyster cards or add credit to them for when you need to go down and use the underground.

The underground station is easily accessible if you need to take the train afterwards, although it is never recommended that, if it can be helped, to bring a lot of luggage, as you will have to at some point climb stairs and with the multitude of people, it can be a huge nightmare.

If you didn't know this already, there are cheap tickets between Manchester Piccadilly and London Euston (Virgin trains) which are very popular amongst passengers, but there is limited choice with regards to time and dates.

This shop sells a variety of different goods, as everything is very inexpensive, there isn't much choice at all, and some items aren't of the best quality, for example the quality of the paper of the stationery pads is pretty poor. You might even do better shopping in a large Tescos or Sainsburys for similar items.

The shop itself is a reasonable size, and there are many isles containing all sorts of things from food to gardening equipment. The shop does tend to have an undesirable smell and can get a bit crowded sometimes.

You can get really good deals, but if I'm not at the Arndale already and have extra time, there is little reason for me to go in,
