I have eaten here several times and enjoyed it every time. The menu has a spanish slant which gives everthing a slightly differnet and intersting appeal. They have a proper Jamon Serrano leg, so do have some as a pre-snack with olives!
Service is always very pleasant and on a sunny day you can sit by the full open front.

The restaurant space is fantastic. Large and open. The service is very good too. The food was generally tasty, but not exceptional. My ribeye steak a little stringy!
I do enjoy it for a large boozy lads lunch every now and then. They did let us get quite messy only leaving from lunch at6:30 pm!!

The Burlington has a no nonsense small downstairs that soon gets busy and packed with atmosphere. Tables outside (heaters in the winter) are often taken advantage of. If it gets a bit too crowded then you can usually get some seats in the quieter upstairs that also has its own bar.
The staff are really professional, have great attitude and help the pub have a better than normal atmosphere.
I have only eaten there once and the burger I got was very good. I can recommend this good example of what a british pub should be.

The food here is better than most restaurants in london. The atmosphere is great, but its very popular so getting a table can be tricky. The front part is fairly standard pub with tables (you can get you draught largers and bitters), but the side and back are really the restaurant area. In the summer you can sit out the front. Food is french and fantastic. Always fresh and changing. The menu is always intersting and I have never been disappointed.

An institution!
If you want to take a visitor to London anywhere, then I recommend this. They won't beleive it passes any health regs at all and that you are actually allowed in. It has character oozing from every crack and peeling of paint.
This is the best and last great winery in London. There is a dark dank under pavement cellars that you practically have to crawl down. Fantastic, you can drink port by the pint! If you get there and stay sober long enough you may even line your stomach with some fantastic cheese and bread, which I can heartily recommend. Saved me more than once. Great quality cheeses and breads and classically simple.
I love this place.

Good food, but is it worth it?
The venue is great and inventive, not least because its a Philippe Starck Hotel. The bar has these quirky little tables, that seem to have no other purpose other than to warm up you drink, but in a fun way! The atmosphere is sophisticated and trendy. The food is good, but not great and at £15-25'ish per starter or £20-40'ish per main course is pretty pricey. However the meals are for sharing so you don't order a starter and main each unless you want to pop! Best dish was the Miso Cured Black Cod (I hope its from sustainable stocks, if you go please ask, I didn't).
I also have issues with restaurants that have house wines in the £35 per bottle range no matter where it is. Especially if its a wine that you can normally get for £8.50 in your local off-licence. This was one of those restaurants.
The service was however excellent and attentive. Personally I would prefer Nobu!

Great steaks and meats generally, but the Potatoe Dauphinoise was fantastic. Have this instead of chips. Just the right amount of cream and garlic.
After lunch you can then buy some steaks from the butchers on the way out. Very convenient. However if you have some guest that don't know where meat comes from, then maybe distract them on the way in!

Great Atmosphere
What ever it is, its got just the right vibe. The atmosphere is lively, busy, cosy and hip without being or feeling too crowded. It's a pub, but not a pub. Its slick and modern and funky. Generally people are really relaxed and friendly. The staff are very good, and so is the food. However its not that cheap to eat!

The food here is excellent if not a somewhat pricey. They have the highest grade of chefs producing the best of Italian food. The pasta is always served to perfection and the menu is interesting.
It has a pleasant atmosphere and the service is attentive. In the summer it is great to sit outside and do some people watching!!
