Vegetarians (and others) rejoice
An excellent Indian restaurant that just happens to be vegetarian. The dishes are interesting, and flavours are fresher and more complex than your standard curry house, and the menu has a few delights that you will not be able to find anywhere else.

And cheap, did i mention it is ridiculously cheap? The owner is lovely too, and it is obvious that he is passionate about the food he if offering - and he wont mind telling you that they are the best curry house around.

Highly, highly, highly recommended.

A special treat
I got taken to Fifteen for a special birthday dinner. I had watched the series where Jamie Oliver set up the restaurant, and for that reason it was extra fun! But I am a sucker for media hype.

Our pasta starters were ok - we didn't have the antipasto, but wish we did, it looked amazing. Mains and desserts were excellent - we completely stuffed ourselves. The food was really nice, staff really friendly - our bill was very expensive though - but it was a special occassion and we had 3 courses, wine and coffee. Good for a special occassion and for groups (if they are not on a budget)

Delicious
The reviews I have read about tsunami have been mixed from delicious, must go, to expensive, nothing special, don't bother.

I loved it. You could go and have a relatively cheap meal - order a range of appetisers with a few friends and eat tapas style - and with 20% if you order before 7pm, you could easily get away under £15 per person with a cheeky glass of wine.

The tempura was delicious, and the serves were huge. The seabass was divine and the eggplant with sesame - well, I would go back just for that. I took a group of friends there, and it was a bit pricey, because we completely over ordered, they all raved about the food.

A good place to go for a bit of a treat without completely breaking the bank

Tasty and cheap Japanese
I love Japanese food, and for cheap, simple, tasty, authentic Japanese food, Zipangu is worth a visit. The menu had a good variety of traditional Japanese dishes and some of my favourites - the gyoza were tasty, and the katsu curry was pretty yummy - neither will blow your mind, but will satisfy any cravings for home cooked style Japanese food that you might have (like I often do!)

The decor was basic and it is probably most suited to going with a few people for a quick meal - but definitely worth trying out. I would take friends back there if in the area.

Not for me...........
After much hype about the refurbishment and re-opening of the white house, some friends and I met up there for drinks on a Saturday night and left after about one hour.

If you like standing around, posing, and looking people up and down, then you will fit right in at the White House, but otherwise we found the White House quite boring, lacking atmosphere and not at all a place where I could get cosy for a night or even dance the night away. I could see how other people may like it, but definitely not for me.
