Just a brilliant restaurant - albeit verging on the breathtakingly expensive at times.

Fabulous ingredients and beautifully judged cooking. A seat on the terrace in summer is as close to perfect as you can get for a meal out in London. As long as the sun is shining that is...

Very suprised by the negative review below, i've never found a fault with the place and nor has anyone i know who has been.

The pasta is sublime - velvety perfection. Lamb is phenomenal. Chocolate nemesis is all it's cracked up to be. In the summer they do a great prosecco mixed with crushed fruit aperitif - different fruit each day. I've had the strawberry and the white peach: both were delicious.

Service very friendly and knowledgable once you're there - although on the phone they can be a bit surly at times. All in all it is a fantastic italian restaurant and absolutely ideal for a special occasion.

I just wish it wasn't so expensive :-(

It's crazy to say Yauatcha is expensive - what do people expect to pay for some of the best cooking in London, certainly of its kind?

When put into the context of other similarly feted places - River Cafe, Nobu etc - it really is not expensive at all. Ok so it's more expensive than Busaba but the quality and obvious care and attention is much higher too.

I've eaten there on many occasions and the best advice i would give is to just try various things off the menu that you like the sound of, you will rarely be disappointed.
Having said that, the Venison Puffs are a must.

Other Prawn (and indeed all the other) Cheung Fun, prawn and date dumpling, salt and pepper squid, jasmine smoked ribs, mango spring roll, Shumai, duck and shitake dumpling, prawn toast - are all excellent and i would go on if i could remember them!

Just try it - it's great.

When busy service can sometime be variable but on the whole they are very prompt and the little desserts in the tea parlour are great too. In spite of the much famed 90 minute table time, i've never yet been asked to move on and i must have been 10 times now.

Also best to go in a number divisible by three as almost evry dish comes in 3's.

And anotehr tip - a lot of the wine list can be pricey but there is a very reasonable fizzy pink whose name escapes me for about £26 a bottle i think? Good value for London and brightens up the meal without costing the earth.

Absolutely top drawer Italian food. Quality is pretty much unsurpassed in London although The River Cafe is definitely its equal.

Beware some of the additional charge dishes - costs can escalate rapidly! Staff are always helpful and attentive without being on your shoulder and pushy. Great italian cooking and the venue is as fitting for special occasions as it is for business.

(Recent years have seen a notable rise in wealthy european clientele - on one visit a pair of thick set Russian gents sat next to our table were eating chocolates whilst they still had their main course on the table... They then left most of their food when they got up to go, along with half a £100+ bottle of wine.)

Ideal lunch place when hungover to stuff yourself on meat and carbs and feel temporarily better about things before descending into a bloated haze for the rest of the afternoon.

It's an American meat diner basically with US sports on constant loop.

The Pulled Pork sandwich is a winner. As are the BBQ beans.

If you're needing a vague attempt at being healthy they do a decent Caesar salad with a smoke chicken breast.

Fries aren't bad and good range of sauces available chipotle mayo, hot sauces etc.

Good place but as lunches go it's not especially cheap and you will probably eat 4 days calorie allowance in one sitting. Neverhtheless sometimes you just need a Bodeans
