Difficult one this one, so esaily could have been a 4 star, the food was excellent, problem was it took from 19:45 to 22:00 to get it. Partly our fault, turned up on spec on a Saturday night and could see a que but decided to give it a go any way.

They were short staffed out front and in the back, they forgot our starters at first.

Good thing they knocked £6 off the bill for our trouble without being asked to do so. In short, give it a go but BOOK

Good cheap Carvery, service is good and friendly, very good value during the week, two meals and two drinks under £10. Is very popular so can get a bit full at times.

Typical chain pub resturant banging out standard food, can be good, can be bad depending who is on duty at the time, good value if you pick the right dish. Hate the tendancey to use over sized plates giving the impression that you have been short changed

My wife tends to agree with promoMan on this one, however I beg to differ slightly, yes the setting is very nice, the food is ok, but it gets very busy you cannot book and you may have to que for a long time.

Large selection of food, at the more expensive end of the market, last meal was ok, my steak was cooked perfectly, same could not be said for the chips, my wife's fish and chips were over cooked. Having said that give it a go there is plently to choose from.

Always get a nice meal when seated inside, pricing is about average, good takeaway deal (if still doing it) two main meals for the price of one, but do check that they have got your order right before leaving.
